Here is a website to know what and when to feed your kittens. You need to feed them at least every 6 hours. But not too much or they will choke. Feel free to email any questions you have about kitten care.

I have 5 kittens that are only a day old its the third litter i've raised. It's quite easy, you can get kitten milk and bottles from your local vets or an animal centre, all the details of what to do are on the packaging. It's about every four hours or when they all start creating then you know they are hungry! Good luck with them!

Kitten chow, moisten with water (pretty soggy) Kittens can usually start on (soft) solid food at age 4 weeks although that is usually in addition to momma's milk.
Cow milk may cause dietary problems so I'd avoid that if possible. A quality kitten kibble should give them enough calcium.
WalMart does carry milk replacers that you mix with water, in their pet department.
Feed every 2-3 hours (during the day) because at that age their stomachs are too small to hold 1/2 their daily nutritional needs.
Keep plenty of fresh water available.
I'd probably put them in a large box with a towel, food and water bowls, and litter pan all in it.

Are they still with the mother? If so they will continue to suckle from her, but you should be offering them wet kitten food from this age. Wet is preferable to dry when they first start eating because it's more palatable and easier for them to manage.

If they're not with the mother, they should be offered kitten food three times a day and allowed to eat as much as they like. It may also be necessary to supplement this diet with kitten milk replacement formula, I would get them checked by a vet before they're 8 weeks old (when they begin their vaccinations) to be sure they are developing properly.

At four weeks old, it's very important to feed on kitten food, not adult cat food. Preferably use a decent brand like Iams or Hills Science diet, Whiskas and Felix and the like are not ideal although they can be OK.

i have 4 kittens that are 5 weeks old and they are eating small pieces of cat food with little of milk and water. i let it sit then when soft i mix it up (still wet ) they really like the liquid also so leave some or add some. i feed them about every 3 hours or i just leave it on the floor and let them eat when they want to.

it is unusual to have kittens of this age with no mother. I would strongly advise you to make an appointment with your vet to have the kittens checked over. He/she will then be able to advise you as to the appropriate amount of suitable food and specially formulated kitten milk that each kitten should be having. Additionally, he can advise you with regards to treating the kittens for worms and fleas.
As a rule of thumb, little and often of soggy kitten specific meat-food mushed up with kitten milk every two hours through the day, and every four hours through the night.

You should feed them kitten milk (I fed mine on Whiskers kitten milk) because at 4 weeks old they should still be feeding from the mother, my cat was fed by a dropper (you can ask your vet, or chemist's have them) because she couldn't drink on her own, and feeding from a dropper makes them think they're feeding from their mum, that's what my vet told me, and I fed her about 6/8 times a day as she didn't take much because she was so young.

Thats the kind of thing your meant to find out before you get the animals home.If you don't even know the simple stuff I dread to think how your going to look after the poor things for possibly another 15 yrs & why are they away from their mum at 4 weeks old? They are not meant to leave mum until at least 7-8 weeks.

What are you doing with kittens that young? They should be with their mum until they're 8 weeks old at least. Breeders keep them with mum until they're three months old.

Everyone here will tell you something different, how will you know who's right? Call the vets and ask them, it's the only way to be sure and not to make a mistake. They're so young, if you feed tham anything wrong they could die.
