Well there are a number of possibilities. She may have an imaginary friend, but twelve is a bit old for that in that case. This may sound kind of weird, but try getting her into acting or singing. The bathroom may just be her version of the way some aspiring singers sing in the shower, or aspiring actresses act out scenes in front of a mirror.

lol. She is fine, thats for sure. She has not learned to share the bathroom yet, not address time issues, but that will come soon enough when school will teach her that. Those are the things you learn in kindergarten. The teacher breaks down the day into portions of tasks / things to do.
You can get her ready for school by introducing the concept of schedule.

My grandkids all have imaginary friends. It's normal. I would start worrying if the child is over 6-7 yrs of age. Otherwise, no biggy.

How old is she, like the pp said if she is young she probably just has an imaginary friend, if she is older she may have some mental issues that you may want to seek counseling for.

if she has been doing this since 4 and she is now 12 maybe she should see a counsellor or something. it might be brought on by something stressful. how is she socially with her peers? how about her grades? it could just be a habit for her but i would get a 2nd opinion if it was my kid.

lol i think its kool if she like 4 or 8. probally have little PRETEND friends!! but if she's like 10 or something she might be singing because she wanna be a singer. like people sing in the shower, if she's older, like my age 14 TALK to her, ask her whos she talking 2, if she says no one mom , leave her alone and see if she grows outta it

Does she have many friends at school? She may just be lonely, so she talks with an imaginary friend.
