My pet was bit by a stray dog and I gave him a pencillin shot but he is still moping around and there is signs of puss running out his right eye but he is drinking water. Help me Thank you.

1 shot is not going to cure or prevent an infection.....
You need to take him to the vet and get him properly checked

I would call your vet and make an appointment right away to have him checked out. While your dog may be current with all his shots, there is no way to know if the stray dog had theirs. The vet will most likely prescribe a course of 10 day antibiotics to help treat the infection.

Get the dog to a vet! He's drinking water - whoop-de-do! He has an eye infection and you don't know what you're doing!

Question: Are you a veterinarian?
If you are not - you shouldn't be giving your pets injections without an examination by a veterinarian.
If you are - why are you on Yahoo! Questions???
Has your dog been vaccinated against Rabies?
Go to your veterinarian - and stop trying to save some money.

My question is why people use Yahoo to get help when they can go to the vet. Yes, take your dog to the vet. That can be a serious problem causing it to lose vision if you don't. Good luck.

Vet. Appropriate topical and oral antibiotics. Otherwise your pet may lose the vision in that eye.
