Neem - Azadirachta indica - Family Meliaceae - is a medicinal plant used in traditional medicine. But there is no scientific evidence to prove that it cures diabetes. It contains many alkaloids such as azadirachtin. Since Its leaves are bitter taking neem leaves alone as a drug or medicine for diabetes is not advisable. there is no medicinal plant to cure diabetes completely . There is no research as yet on the subject. If you rely on them, they may temporarily show you some good results, but suddenly, you will face a problem which even the best doctors find difficult to cure. So exercise, cut on calories and take the pills, that is, the placebos prescribed by your doctor. I happened to derive better results from a walker, if you spare 30 minutes a day and from Ramdev Baba's Yog Asanas, if you can spare an hour a day. Together, they can work wonders for a diabetic.

It is a false notion that bitter fruits and vegetables help cure Diabates. There is no proof of bitter substances curing diabetes. These substances may have other positive effects on the body but it is big time hoax that they cure diabetes.
Bitter substances are necessary as they provide vital nutrients to the human body.
