I bought hubby brand new a '04 Hemi 1500 back in '04.
I think he wants it to go faster, um, yeah, it must be a man thing.
Ok, what can I do to make it go a wee bit faster for him, without voiding out the manufacture warranty?
We also have the extended warranty.

ALSO, he has the sport package with the ground effects and the tailpipe sticks out the right side.
Has anyone sucessfully made it a dual exhaust cutting it through the other side of the ground effects and how did you do it, or is there a kit for that? Pictures welcomed on how you did it.
And one more thing, I had a turbo muffler installed and when ever you stomp on it, and the RPM's lower it makes a sound as my children would say, a farting sound. What the heck is that? Hemi?
Thanks all!! :-)

When you let of the gas the farting noise is probably un burnt fuel igniting in the exhaust system. For better performance somebody must make a complete headered exhaust with high flow cats and it will void the factory exhaust warranty but the new manufacturers warranty should make up for that.Check with your dealer for other warranty issues but it shouldn't effect your drivetrain warranty. Also for bowke 28 the nissan titan has the worst service record of the full size trucks it should be joined by toyota shortly as they both use all aluminum v8's a dumb idea considering trucks tend to get hot when being worked hard.

Dont get a nissan, they suck. what you should do is go to the dealer and see what kind of parts they have listed for the Ram Hemi in their performance catalog. I know for sure that they have performance air intakes and exhaust systems from the cat back. Granted, these are not too cheap, but will make it a wee bit faster. as for your "farting" sound, i would say if the only thing you did was put a muffler on it then something else is wrong, but sometimes unrestricting the the flow of exhaust out the engine will create less back pressure and will end up making your car sputter upon sudden acceleraction and also may lead to a backfire depending on how much work you did to the exhause without getting more air into the engine. but for more power without voiding warranty, go to the dealer and look at the performance catalog, or at leas ask for exhaust system and air intake systems.

In normal back and forth to work driving. When you shut the engine off condensation water forms inside of the engine, and the vehicle don't stay hot long enough to evaporate the water. Now you take a trip and the engine stays hot for hours at a time and the water evaporates out of it. It looks like the engine used oil when in fact it just rid itself of the water. It was already a QT low. There is some oil burned every time a plug fires. We don't know it but that tad of oil has been replaced by a tad of water. Average condensation is is a pint every 1500 miles, if that oil film was not left on the cylinder walls the rings would burn up in seconds. Chrysler/Dodge, Ford, GM, American rides, American Pride.

I doubt if there's anything you can do to skirt the manufacturer's warranty. I have a 300c Hemi and it's plenty for me, I must be getting soft in my old age.

there is only 1 thing you can do to get a faster truck w/o losing warranty...go get a nissan titan.

even with a hemiin the dodge, the nissan tows more, hauls more, and is faster in every measurable speed test. the actual horsepower #'s are less, but the truck is hundreds of pounds lighter, and comes with more bells and whistles...try to find a used 2004 or 2005.
