im a 19 year old guy, lately i havent been eating right, sometimes i go a couple days without eating cause i just wont be hungry, and when i do eat im full after 1 or 2 bites...ive also just become a regular smoker, could this add to the problem?

Smoking can suppress your appetite, but it shouldn't make you not hungry for days at a time. Your question is, 'could this add to the problem?' The answer is absolutely, but remember, the problem was there before you started smoking. Going without food for that length of time is bad for your body. I wonder if you've developed an eating disorder or if there's an organic component for your fasting...or both. Good luck.

Skipping meals slows the metabolism, thus burning less calories. Yes, if you skip enough meals or skip the same meals all the time your body will adapt to that and you won't feel hungry. You are starving it.

Smoking does decrease some people's appetites. For others, it doesn't lessen their appetite but when they quit they'll gain more as they use food to satisfy the oral fixation the ciggs once took care of.

You didn't ask for advice but I'll tell you that if you hope to live a relatively healthy life, eat a healthy well-balanced diet and give up the cancer sticks. Your current behavior is an early start to very unhealthy living.

I'm the same I can go forever with no food I forget to eat! but I think its coz smoking kills your appetite. If you make sure you eat breakfast in the morning it will get your metabolism going and make you hungrier later in the day

First I would quit smoking. It is obviously not good for your health but it causes yellow teeth and bad breath. 2 things that are bad for socializing.

For your diet habits, try to clean out your system. For example, eat only apples for a day. It will be healthy but it will be light enough to allow your system to clean itself out.

Smoking will kill your tastebuds quickly.You should give up the smoking before you become addicted! I know all about it I smoked for 22 years,and it was very hard to give up.Now everything tastes a whole lot different.
