Technically contacts are not a medical need they are more of a vanity thing. This is becuase most people who wear contacts wear them because they don't like to wear glasses and choose to wear contacts instead. There may be some instances where it is a true medical need, but I have never heard of any.

It depends. If you have glasses, then I wouldn't say a NEED. But, if you don't, then I would. >.< It depends. Of course, if you also have REALLY bad eyes, then yes.
