ive been on the fantasy it is a nice ship btw. they usually run one kids movie, one teen movie, and the rest are pg-13. they are usally movies that are not on dvd yet. just to warn you you will get sick of the movies. till this day i wont watch that polly movie with jennifer aniston because i watched it twice on the ship. they also have a main channel on carnival that show what movies play at what times along with basic tv stations such as nbc or abc. have fun on the fantasy!

I am pretty sure the Fantasy has a movie theatre, but the movies they show are generally only a few years at the most old. They tell you the movies that you will be seeing, and you can see what they are showing outside the theatre. Some can be PG while you can also see an R movie. You go in to a generally large sized theatre, that is almost always empty, since there is so much else to do on the ship, and you sit down in big reclining chairs and enjoy!

The selection of movies is good, usually movies that have just been released on DVD. The last time we cruised just a couple weeks ago they showed Skrek 2, Mission Impossible 3, and Oceans 11. When you get to your cabin there is usually information about movies and times.
The movies are available in your cabin on several TV channels and in various languages. Some ships also have a small movie theater that holds maybe 50 people, stadium seating style. Some ships that don't have a theater will show movies in a show room or lounge type room.

I can't say that I have ever seen a first run but a few weeks/month old movie. Most are appropiate for kids. You won't have an X rated channels on the TV or the availablity to rent any. You crash on the bed to watch. The TV reception has never been good.. you watch for awiile and then you loose the station. Have Fun....

Depending on the size of the ship, they may have a film center, movie theatre and a separate video room for kids. Usually movies in the cruise liners are the same titles you would expect in flight.

You can watch a movie anytime, why waste your cruise watching a movie when there are so many other things to do?? Makes about as much sense to travel to Rome and eat at a McDonald's.
