anyone know of Jewish wines?

Question

what kind are there and which have better qualities?Also r there any of them that are alcohol free? If u know anything about this topic or experince to pass along please take the time to inform me and thanks in advance

to BMCR, by Jewish wines i meant non-alcoholic wines. i was not aware that they are called kosher wines. I appologize for my ignorance but i come from alcohol, drugs and smoke free home and have never furthered an education in any of these fields. sorry if i offended any other people of the world by my question but i am just starting to learn of things independently. Thanks everyone for yout answers.

The only kosher wine I know of is Maneschewitz, and I believe they make an alcohol free wine. Haven't tasted it for years, but as I recall it's pretty sweet. There are a million kosher wines out there.
All types too! Red, White, Blush.....they make everything kosher.
Any package store should have a few kosher wines.
I live in a prominently jewish area, so the package stores around here have a large selection.
If they don't carry too many around you, then the package store should be happy to reccomend some wines they can order for you. You can always go online as well.

As far as Maneshevitz (spelling?) - it taste just like grape juice, trust me, I drink it every year and it does have alcohol but very little. They also do make a grape juice that is non alcoholic......

If you go to www.judaicawebstore.com you can order a whole variety of kosher wines. They're all from Israel and they're excellent. I myself prefer the dessert wines, and they're so good I usually order half a dozen bottle at a time and hoard them like gold. I don't know of any that are alcohol-free but there may be some. Manischewitz and Mogen David sell wines that are used for Sabbath and other occasions--and I wouldn't have Sabbath without Manischewitz--but they're not what I would really call wine. They are tasty, though.

By "Jewish wines" I presume you mean "kosher wines".

And isn't "alcohol free wine" called "grape juice".

As is the case, the standard Maneshewitz wine, which is not even made by the Maneshewitz company, is one of the worst in the US.

If you are looking for one made in the US, I would suggest Baron Herzog from California.

There are also excellent wines made in Israel.

"Traditional" wine making countries such as France and Italy also produce kosher wines.

Try Mogan-David. Cheap, fruit-based and gets the job done. Some varieties have a low alcohol content. Try the blackberry, almost like drinking a fruit juice. The down and dirty Mogan-David is MD 20/20. Affectionately know as "Mad Dog". Very cheap. Sidewalk connoisseur stuff.

Ehm..
