Life just is. It has no intrinsic, or built in meaning of it's own.
All the meaning that life will ever have is the meaning that you give to it.
Looks like its up to you.
Love and blessings Don

Dear Alvaro R,
It can be very discomforting when you realize that God is really an absentee landlord that doesn't live up to 2000 years of hype. There's a feeling of betrayal similar to what children experience when they realize they've been spoon fed a collective lie about Santa or the Easter bunny. (Sometimes kids can be more perceptive than even adults. My 4 year old daughter recently asked me why the Easter Bunny had a zipper going up its back!).
Never stop asking questions. Think for yourself. Being part of something bigger than yourself can come from your close friends and family that love you. That is what's real. Be nice to others and strive to find meaning in your own life.

There is a purpose to this earth life and it does explain why bad things can happen to innocent people. The web page I reference below has some good videos on the subject if you're interested, but I'll answer briefly.
Prior to birth we lived as spirit children of a Heavenly Father. For our growth and development this earth was prepared with conditions under which we would be given trials and opportunities to better develop our understanding of the difference between right and wrong. God can and does tell us what's right, but there's a big difference between being told and experiencing what happens when people make both good and bad choices.
For example, I tell my children not to lie. I hope they'll obey, but they are more likely to understand why honesty is so important if they experience what happens when a relationship is damaged through dishonesty. Hopefully they'll learn this without having to make all the mistakes themselves.

Can you describe a rainbow without colors? So you cannot describe life without meaning either. Life is replete with meaning. Everything you do counts. Every word you speak has is effect. Every thought that enters your mind lives eternally.
Your soul is the sum product of everything you do, every word you speak, and every thought that enters your mind. There is no such thing as a wasted prayer, or a fruitless love. Therefore take heed about how you nurture your soul. Seek truth, practice love and relish everything in this world that is beautiful.

Life is an EXAM PERIOD. We come here to know, love and worship God. He created us and taught us what is good, what is bad, meaning of life and what will happen after death.. through prophets. From time of ADAM till Muhammad , all the prophets told that there is eternal life after death and our life in hereafter will be shaped according to our exam results in this world. Our intensions, behaviours, each is an answer to life questions. So I wish we give a good paper in this life. All the best : )

this world is full of sin everywhere, but it won't be like that much longer, though it feels like to us it is forever and a day but to God its not, our time and His time are not the same as His thoughts and ours is not the same. He can see everything that is going on and when it is time for the second coming it will happen. We just need to be strong and steadfast in our faith, keep our eyes on Jesus and not look around and see what it going on.Just keep your faith and keep praying the closer it gets to the time of His return the more sin we all will see, we have to be strong...Having faith in God makes this life meaningful, even if it is hard to see right now.

The point of life is to find peace within yourself. It is, also, about accepting life and death and all the things in life and in death and not just a select few things that you feel like accepting, like only certain types of people or certain types of things or certain types of living or dying.

Good point. God could fix things for us, but that would make us dependent. I think the idea is to learn and grow so that we can become a unique child of God.
Just think of it this way: Would you want your child to depend on you to fix things? Or would you prefer that your child grow to be able to figure things out for themselves?
