God made science. God has given men intelligence and works through mere men to help heal people. It's not science alone.

I certainly don't need any saving in a spiritual sense. I'm not really sure what science is supposed to be saving me from, but I sure as heck would rather trust science than some mystical, imaginary being who hasn't really done a lot of good for the world thus far (well, anything really, which one would expect from a being that patently doesn't exist).

... huh? Save me from what? Myself? Others? No. And yes. Science is solving the diseases of the world. Science is solving the suffering, the hunger, and giving you technology you could never have dreamed of in the "its evil" middle ages where science was almost illegal.
How it originated? People.
What a very odd couple of questions.
I don't believe I have a soul honey, so my soul does not need to be saved.

Save me from what?
Science origins are clearly outlined in history. People had questions. They searched until they developed good ideas. Some were right, some were wrong, but people keep looking for the BEST explanation for events.

I do not need 'saved' from anything and yes I know how science originated.....do you?
Religion was a way of passing on information about survival from on generation to the next. As our knowledge base grew (by people not accepting "god did it" as an answer) we developed fields of study (science, engineering, psychology, medicine, etc...)

Yes, science saves me from your stupidity. Science was created by the very few people intelligent enough to choose to explore the wonders of nature themselves instead of believe in an imaginary friend who created them.

I don't think I need saved. I don't see any danger, do you?
How do I think science originated? When the first guy started to try to figure out a better way to hunt or chop wood..

With Jesus, you have a few fairy tales of people being cured from leprosy.
With science, leprosy has been all but eradicated.
With Jesus, you have some phony faith healers pretending to make people walk so they can take your money.
With science, polio has been nearly eliminated.
With Jesus, you have lies about people coming back from the dead.
With science, you have CPR and other first response methods which have saved the lives of millions, and brought some back from death.
Jesus equals lies and false hope.
Science equals reality, and the only real miracles the human race will ever see.

By introducing the concept "save" you are imposing a Christian framework to your question, which rather distorts it.
No. I don't, because I don't think "save" applies.
Science evolved (See, I can sneak words in too!) out of practical engineering and chemistry, and the conjunction of philosophy and alchemy.
That which worked, survived, eventually.
Phlogiston, N-rays and the canals of Mars fell by the wayside.
