There is nothing awful about it. Seriously, my mom is older than my dad by 9 years. And they live their 'happily ever after' for about 37-38 years now. Things like these happen.

Make her know how you feel in a calm and assured way, as if you were stating some obvious facts, and ask her what she thinks of it. Or do it any other way you are comfortable with, but make her understand that you value her opinion and respect her as a human being. The rest is up to her but at least you will be confident that you did what you could.
Be patient and accept whatever outcome will follow.
I'm sure everything will turn out fine.

Good luck!

No bullsheet - if she's your boss don't date her. The age difference is really not that great but should things not work out, it could affect your job and/or her job! A really professional person will not date someone who works for them. If you really want to get a relationship going, move to a different department or job before trying to get the relationship off the ground.

Love knows no age. I am with a guy who is seven years younger than me. At first I questioned the fact that he was in love with me being so much younger than me. Now I've come to believe he really does love me. We've been together for four years now and I love him more each day. I would do as the others have suggested. Ask her about how she feels about you. Or you could use the scenario of a friend who is in love with an older woman and see how she reacts. And being seven years your senior is not elderly. Older maybe. But then it does depend on her age and yours. Myself, I'm 51 and he is 44. Talk to her about it.

NOOOOOO, you can't ask her anything! She is your boss! Saying anything about romantic feelings towards her constitutes sexual harrassment and she would have grounds to fire you if she feels uneasy about what you say to her. (I'm an HR professional, so I'm very familiar with employer/employee rights!) If you really think you're in love, find another job first. Before accepting the new position, tell this woman how you feel. Tell her that you don't want to make her feel awkward, and that if she feels uneasy about your confession, you are ready and willing to take another job in order to make her feel more comfortable.

It sounds like you are kind of fixating on her. I made it a point to not date co-workers. Also there might be some policy violation where you work. If you think there is something there then you might ask her and see if the feeling is mutual. I don't think that there is anything wrong with dating someone 7yrs your senior.

sure. when it comes to love there isnt a certain age to be for each other. well i think if you think its going good you should make a move and ask her if she wants to go get coffee then if she says yes afterwards ask her if she wants to go get dinner.

if you have a relationship with her....are you prepared to see her wrinkle up and go senile.. "her age shows" and then you see younger women but you cant have them.. because your with an old women and you made a commitment? think about what you are thinking... before you act on your judgment

its either she feels the same way too, or you're just like a lil bro. You can never tell, unless you'll ask her. anyways, age doesnt matter. love does.

Rarely do work relationships work. If it does,
good for you. But if it doesn't, work will be VERY awkward.
Good Luck.
