Why and how do you know?

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21
If death is gain we will not soul sleep. I do not see that as gain. We will instantly go to heaven or hell. God will judge and put us in the right place.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life,[d] and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.1 John 5:13
1 John 1-5 is a test to know for sure for Christians if you are going to heaven.
The bible says:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 6 But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified. 2 Corinthians 13:5-6

If you are not following Jesus you are following a thief. Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10) The devil is this thief that comes up with false teachers and religions. False teachers and religions only come to steal, kill, and destroy. So this makes the devil a liar. We have already learned that Jesus is the truth. Do you want to follow a liar or the way, the truth, and the life?

Without a doubt.
Why Because Jesus told me so. How because Jesus told me so...Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Jesus is Lord!

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Well That is all I got to say because there is not enough room her to say a lot more.

Hello,

You try all your life to live according to God's teachings and what Jesus taught but you will know once you cross over. Hopefully one has done enough to emulate the way Jesus instucted us to live.

Some churches have this philosophy of internal security that once saved, always saved and here is where various sects of Christianity part company.
A Pentecostal minister came up to me at a party and asked
if I was saved. Though I am a baptized Christian, I said I do try to be but I'll never know until I meet my maker. This sort of statement would send me to hell he said.
Thereafter I consulted quite a few ministers and Catholic priests on this. They said this concept of eternal security, i.e. once saved always saved is a bad and damndable teaching. James indicates that just believing in Christ without good works alone and that he's a savior is not good enough. The Devil himself has a stronger belief since though he hates Christ and God he has actually seen them whereas I go on only faith and my parents, teachers' and clerical works over my life. Thomas More once wrote a big missive on this with respect to some of Luther's teachings saying that only belief and just getting baptized without works actually contradicts what Jesus says. Did you cloth me when I was naked, visit me in prison, pick the pole out of your eye, love your enemies etc. If you (re-born) neglect to forgive a family member or enemy that
harmed you are you saved? " If " so then Christ's logic is flawed since he is contradicting himself. If you do not forgive, neither will thefather forgive you.
I asked that minister in question if I am saved, can I go to church, communion and witness a family baptism or first communion then step outside the church, make a date for a good fling with another woman, light up a smoke and finish a drug deal whilst ordering a contract killing like you often see in the Mafia movies? I told him he was full of nonsense and ought to worry about his soul for teaching this
sort of thing. Life is always going to be a constant daily battle
with trials and temptations that haunt us to the end of our days. Forgiven in prayer one day does not mean we shall not lapse into sin the next.Being reborn and saved is no license to sin with immunity or impunity.

In conclusion there are very few of us that can boast we are really saved and be 100% sure the door for heaven is open.

Fireball226 seems to think there is no life after death. If i died tonight I will be going to Heaven. Jesus told me early 2005 in a vision that I was saved, it was a salvation dream, and I had that backed up at prayer ministry and it was very biblical. I am saved by grace and if you are a christian that is not livining for the world and you have repented and forgiven people then you will be going too. God bless. Leanne

"As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8), but I’m also being saved (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12), and I have the hope that I will be saved (Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15). Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13)."

Assuming THERE IS more than one faith on this planet, why do you assert your will on the others?? IF you don't do everything I do, then you must be against me. There is a freedom of choice of religons. There's alot of detours in life. The end result IS they all lead to the SAME destination. Some will be too busy shaking hands with friends to be worrying about how hot it is.

Why does everybody ignore our Savior Christ's words?
Didn't he tell the evildoer when Christ himself was to die and be in hell, that the evildoer would be in Paradise.

Where was paradise lost? Where is Paradise restored? On earth! The resurrection, Christ himself said was to be in the "las t day." Thus the evildoer is in his grave at the moment awaiting this promise of Christ, his lord and owner.

Don't you believe Christ when he states,"5Happy, the meek; for, they, shall inherit the earth: "

Does our Lord LIE?

Yes, the bible says, absent from the body present with the Lord. So I firmly believed that when we die as Christians we are immedietly in God's presence.

I think I have a clue where I'm going and I'm not going to get wings there. The reason I say that is cause I done some pretty dumb stuff in my past, and I will pay for it!
