On a much smaller scale:

Walk into your bosses office while he/she isn't in there and cop a seat. Hey, go all out and put your feet up on the desk....and while you're at it make paper airplanes out of his/her documents and delete the entire hard drive on his/her computer. After all, this loving person has given you a job and all that drama won't bother anyone because there is no difference between right/wrong or good/evil behavior, right?

That's what Satan did to God and he's never stopped. We have a whole lot more going for us than Satan.

The reason God & Satan can't just get along is because that would destroy religion's reason for being. Every great protagonist needs a foil to define himself/herself, and give their life purpose.

Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word "happiness" could lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.
— Carl Jung

If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.
— Anne Bradstreet

Truly to enjoy bodily warmth, some small part of you must be cold . . . For there is no quality in this world that is not what it is merely by contrast. Nothing exists in itself. If you flatter yourself that you are all over comfortable, and have been so a long time, then you cannot be said to be comfortable anymore.
— Herman Melville (Moby Dick, p. 86)

We could never learn to be brave and patient, if there were only joy in the world.
— Helen Keller

A religion can no more afford to degrade its Devil than to degrade its God.
— Havelock Ellis

The devil and God are components of a Siamese twin. Neither has any existence apart from the other. In denying the existence of the one, Christians have helped to kill the other. If there need to be no fear of hell, people may well ask what is the attraction of heaven? Gods and devils were born together. Gods and devils will die together.
— Chapman Cohen

If religion cannot restrain evil, it cannot claim effective power for good.
— Morris Cohen

I've often wondered what they talk about when Satan goes before God. I wonder how God is going to feel when He sees Satan going into the furnace. Must be an awful lot of hatred between those two. An even bigger question is how could Satan possibly think he's going to avoid or escape his final abode? That's got to suck being alive for hundreds of billions of years, only to ultimately end up in that place.

Cause Satan is everything that God Hates. GOD HATES SIN! And that is exactly what Satan is. Satan rebeled against God and wanted to be Him. And then turned and sinned. So he was cast out of heaven. Thats why!

It seems like God should bury the hatchet and move on. Come on, Satan had pride and tried to overthrow Heaven, but God never asked him why he did that. If he is forgiving, he should forgive him unconditionally.

t,
It certainly is a long drawn out affair. Satan has lost the war and GOD has already assigned him a place for eternity. Why haven't you chosen the winning side? I think that you are talking to the wrong audience. Speak with satan. He is the one who needs to change his ways. Have a nice day.
Thanks,

Wonderful question. Love of God holds everything together. The dark feature divides everything. Darkness is necessary to create diversity, just as the darkness on a film is necessary to project the image on a screen.

Darkness and Light are both necessary for creation.

Because the so-called god is like a politician, full of lies and cover-ups and Satan is trying to expose him/her/it.
