I do not talk poltics much but ever since Bush came in
and said he is a Christian, it seems to be that way.
All I hear is Bush is suppose to be a Christian and
he started a war and he said that about gays. People
lump all of us the same.
I have a gay cousin who I love dearly and as for the war,
well, I want Peace.
Thanks. Have a good one.

That my friend is what prejudice is all about pre judging people by one thing instead of looking at the whole person.
The media has been prejudice against Bush since he arrived in office. People forget if it wasn't for 9/11 the media would have crucified him much earlier.

oh sh1t

the best way to attack a Christian is to associate them with another Christian who has a bad name.

right now, President Bush is very unpopular. So how can a Christian be a Christian if President Bush says he is a Christian?

All the rest of the so-called Christians must be jerks if President bush is such a jerk.

btw---I did not vote for him. but no one could be as bad as some people think he is.

Politicians should in my opinion never ever mention religion. It is just sooo fake, especially in a country like America where they know that 40% of the votes come from so-called Christians. And when they make mistakes, as humans usually do, it gives religion a bad name.

Also, they are supposed to lead a nation, which always consists of a mixture of religions.

Because it is maintained by Christian doctrine itself that, at least in principle, that all Christians are one, belong to only one congregation: the church of Christ. In that respect there is only one divide, between Christians and non-Christians.

That the church has split into different groupings, denominations has to be seen as human aberration even when, at the extreme, some parts do not recognise the others as Christians.
The divisions are, of course, longstanding and deep in some cases.
The Anglican communion is currently struggling madly to maintain unity over issues such as homosexuality and female bishops. It's not clear they're succeeding. (URLs)

I do not want to insult anyone. But noone can deny what I am going to say - its a fact. The God of the Christians was taken from the jews and the jews used to be pagans. They had many gods. But time came and they chose the one, the only - Yahve. Yahve is the God, described in the bible. But study the history - and you will see. Yahve is the god of the... war. NO MORE COMMENTS

I think that the lumps deserve to be lumped. From my standpoint, they pretty well collectively represent evil. Sure, some christians are benign on an individual level, but definitely not at the group level.

Because, just as Patriotism was the last refuge of the scoundrel, so too is faith.

By Generalizing, the "Patriotic scoundrel" can hint that they are as "God Fearing" as the "common man" in the various X-ian sects - without offending the various groups who will not talk to each other.

Most people figure they're not Muslim or Buddhist so they must be Christian. They're Christian in name only. You'll find posers and the misinformed everywhere.

You're right. I'm often taken as a Republican because I'm a Christian. The fact is, I'm registered Independent because both parties give me a belly ache.

The Bible tells us to love others, including sinners and enemies. It doesn't say to love sinners and foes, unless they're gay.

Peace.

Why do you lump all people into the category of Christian lumpers?
