I have often pondered this question. If there is a heaven why are we all here. I don't think anyone knows the answer but while we are here we should make the best of it. Here is not such a rotten place. Look for the beauty in life. Sure bad things happen, terrible things, but without the bad how would we recognize the good. Besides we have the power to change the earth into a better place!
Peace

Psalm 115:16 --"The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah; But the earth hath he given to the children of men." ASV
God's original purpose was for perfect humans to live forever here on a paradise earth. Heaven would not have been an option. Sadly, our first parents were deceived by a rebellious angel (Satan the Devil) into sinning and also rebelling against God and so they lost the right to live forever. This resulted in mankind inheriting sin and death from them.
God's purpose for the earth and those who reside on it will soon be realized. That is why God sent his only-begotten Son to earth to be born as a human. He had to die as a perfect man to gain back for us what Adam & Eve lost.
God's Word promises us that soon the earth will once again be transformed into an Edenic paradise for all meek ones who adhere to His righteous standards and we have the hope of living forever upon it.

It is only a rotten place for those who want to see it as a rotten place. For some earth is Heaven. We are here to learn to appreciate Heaven.

We are born on earth because earth is where we are suppose to live.
This idea of going to heaven after dying is a lie.
Originally, life on earth was suppose to be ideal ....you know God created a paradise called Eden and told Adam to enlarge its boundaries to include the whole planet.
Adam did not co-operate, leading to the misery of today.
However, no man can counter-act what God wants.
In God's time, things will get back to a paradise earth and living forever on it.
That's what is said in Psalm 37:29.

oh.. some people believe that Heaven is a state of mind. if you're here on earth and you feel extremely happy and everything just feels so right, then you're already in Heaven. And I think we all needed to start somewhere... besides, the Earth was given to us. We inhabit it... if the place is rotten, then it's us who is to blame.

YAHWEH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER & CREATOR made the earth for mankind. Heven is not our intended destination.
scripturally, it never has been. Yhe teachings concerning our going to heaven can be found rooted within the roman catholic chiurch dogma; same as the fairy tales concerning an eternal fiery burning hell meant to frighten superstious people into fighting wars for the pope. Religious leaders of today are still using similar tactics on superstious minds. The muslim who staps on the bomb & tghen goes in to kill as mant innocent people as he can believes that he will awaken in heaven with a harem of 70 virgins awaiting him for a lifetime of eternal sexual bliss. The earths a rotten place because we (mankind in general) have chosen to refuse to live according to the LAWS that FATHER YAHWEH gave us to live by. cf.1Jn3:4; "Sin is the TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW (YAHWEH'S LAWS)" cf. Deut. 6:25; "RIGHTEOUSNESS is the KEEPING OF YAHWEH'S LAWS" Sin is the root cause for the corruption of the earth, cf. Is.26:1-6 Questions?call 325-670-9494 Ask at Abel, & that will settle the matter!!!

Are you kidding? This is an exciting time to be alive! We are the generation that has had more biblical prophecies fufilled than any other! We are seeing, reading, and being a part every day of the greatest event that wii ever shake this earth......the coming of the Lamb of God. Hallejuah, rejoice! Satan can make this a evil place to live, and it so is, but he CAN NOT steal my joy, and he shouldn't be able to yours "if" you are God's child.

This place is not rotten. We have all kind or resources to make this earth a Paradise, but we are not doing a good job.
God has the plan for us. This life is a gift.

We'll understand when we get there.
I know it's a vague answer, but who on this earth can give you a clearer one?
I think Paul was wise when he said this:
12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. (1 Corinthians 13)
What can make one's life less miserable is the joy and peace you can find by knowing God. It can carry you through the worst of times. This is my experience.

That is a great question to be asking yourself! The bible makes no sense. It isn't true you see. Where did the Garden of Eden go? Who did Cain reproduce with? How did Noah fit 2 of every billions+ species onto the Ark? Why would God let the terrible things happen to Job? Why did god ask Abraham to sacrifice his only son? Why did God harden Pharaoh's heart so that he wouldn't let the Israelites go and then punish the Egyptians for it? On that matter.. why isn't there any archaeological evidence for the tribe in the size of over 1 million people that apparently wandered the desert for 40 years?
Keep asking yourself these questions and you'll see the lies of religion unravel.
