Stop please! That system did not hold very much 2 16oz cans? 12oz cans? There my still be a pink color sticker under hood or fender with the amount of R-12 the system takes. If you replaced parts and are going to R-134 refrigerant it will take a manifold gauge set to get the proper pressures. All-Data available at Auto Zone might also give you the correct R-12 charge weight. I love it when Owners over charge the systems and the A/C high pressure switch shuts down the system or blows off a old A/C hose wear eye protection around A/C repair.. See you in the shop Monday I tell them.

Are you using R134a or r12 gas? That will make a difference. Also you sound like you don't have a gage to check the pressure. Really you should have just taken it to someone who knows what they are doing because I would be willing to bet that you did not add the right amount of oil to the compressor before installation. Nor do you mention anything about having put a new receiver drier or expansion device on. If this is the case then you are going to be doing the job very soon all over again. If you go to a parts store they should be able to tell you what the capacity of the system holds, or call your local Nissan dealer and talk to the service department.
