Anyone care to share what their name means on their Avatar?

There is only one person who knows the meaning of mine besides myself. Sorry, I still don't feel like divulging it. But for those of you who would love to share, go right ahead!

Okay, it's not all that fair to without information. Not that this is changing my decision. I'll say this, I view names as important. Not only how you feel about it, but in presenting yourself to the world. Some of the names on here are so fantastic.

emfederin, thanks for the laughs! Okay, you just pointed to something with my name that I didn't know. I do happen to be swedish. Hmmmm. The Harley is still in the garage unridden by me. I just like to look at it and laugh. (and use it for fodder in stories). Classes start tomorrow, though.

I shortened the first part of my screen name from Lokasenna to Loka so I could get the rest of it to fit. The first part of my screen name comes from a poem in the Eddas in which Loki tells the other Norse Gods to shut up and he insults them all. It's a rather funny story and one of my favorites in Norse mythology.

The second part of my screen name is Spanish and goes with my current avatar and thus is subject to change. At the moment because I have a hawk on fire the second part reads "Devil Bird."

I just made mine up out of thin air about 5 yrs ago for an aol forum.

You keeping yours a secret is an automatic challenge to me though. Kind of like finding a puzzle on the ground, ya just pick it up and play with it.
The words "shaka" and "har" appear on websites of northern countries like sweden and norway. Individually translated (from swedish), shaka is shake or shaky, and har is have.
So maybe you "have the shakes"? Or do you have them when riding your harley?

Update:
Uh-oh...I don't think your husband would approve of the images I'm conjuring from your last remark...
As the old kids game goes, does that mean I'm getting warmer or colder?

;-)

my name is taken from 'red dwarf', the sci fi comedy. the psirens were based on sirens from greek mythology.
i've had this username since 1995 when i got my first email account at college. i just liked the name and it's kinda stuck. it doesn't really mean anything to me, i just liked the word and have become rather attached to it. ive had it so long now it's like my second name.

Kallan is a Gaelig name which means "strong in battle". I didn't specifically choose it for Y/A, but it certainly does apply here..lol

" onelight " We are all one...one light.

We're not (God) the One..yet we are Of the (God) the One. The united One Light that we all are.

I have my avatar name spelled in lower case letters as I am simply a beam of that Light...I'm OF that Light...not THE Light itself.
