Interestingly enough, for us as humans, dying is not the ultimate way to show love ... living for them is.

I still don't get the Jesus dying thing. He's immortal, right? So when he physically died he was dead for zero seconds before he was alive again, right?
So what you're really talking about is a guy being in pain on a cross for a day or two when actually hundreds of thousands of people were crucified by the Romans over time.
Sorry, I'm not impressed. My mum had multiple myeloma (cancer) and was in pain for years and absolute agony for months if not years.

God doesn't demonstrate anything. That's why there's no evidence that any god exists. However, there's lots of evidence that gods are man-made myths.
And to answer your question, if I respect and care for someone, I try to be there when they need me and let them have their space when they need that. At other times, I just spend time with them and enjoy their company. Love is an emotion. It's applied to widely and is therefore too vague to address.

Do you even know any of their names? Do you ever care for their families? Do you ever think how they fight to protect you?
Nope.
All you want is that imaginary bearded white guy up in the sky, "Oh my god, he died for me. So happy so loved."
That's called "Arrogance".
