I have a 1996 Ford Ranger 2.3L and I am looking to put some power in it so I have been looking for a turbo supercharger that will fit don't care weather its made for it or not just that it will work with as little modding as passable

The only compatible manifold that you can bolt on is from the mid 80's XR4TI or a turbo mustang, after that custom air intake tubes have to be made, a performance chip needs to be added to the computer, most likely the injectors have to be upgraded.to handle the extra fuel demand, possibly a larger throttle body. I have seen this done by an old co-worker.... he also worked at Ford research and development. It can be done, the dyno readings were great .... close to 300hp peak..... there also is an aluminum head available for this larger valves, ported etc. I'LL see if I can find the info on it e-mail me personally I'll do my best to find the info.

Okay I had this issue with my 1996 ford ranger and have looked and found 25 different answers as to what the problem might be. My ranger has a 4 cylinder motor 5 speed tranny. All of my lights worked parking lights, tail lights, running lights etc.. However in this cas neither turning signals or hazzards worked. So first obviously CHECK FUSES (#21) & (#22) are the blinkers and hazzards. Just because there not blown doesn t mean there s not a problem there take a test meter and see if power is getting to the fuses. If not your next step is going to be to take the panel beneath the steering wheel off it once the plastic panel is off you then have to take off the metal panel the lies under the plastic panel once all that is done you need to look under there like liteatorly get your head up under the dash with a flash light and locate the (TURN SIGNAL RELAY) it will ethier be (BLUE & SQUARE) or (SILVER & ROUND) if this relay isn t clicking it s not opening an closeting other words not working it s 5 dollars at your local parts store and not a big deal to change just unsnapping a clip and snapping in the new one. If you do this and nothing changes is the (MULITI FUNCTION SWITCH) which is what controls your wipers brights Etc.. If none of those are working it s probably the switch and not the relay which Goes from being a 5 dollar relay to a 90 dollar switch. And the removal of the top of the steering wheel column to replace and fix. And if you have the truck wired for a trailer plug I highly recommend if none of the above works change the plug and run new wire to the new plug more then likely it s shorting and causing the truck to short the hazzards, blinkers or both. Hope this helped Good luck
