No, don't wait a week....soap and water, no wash cloth, pat dry
and then put your moisturizer on. Don't pick, or scratch........
After a while, a month or so,you will notice that the palm
side will start to fade a little. That is because the tat is near the crease and you use the inside of
your hands more. You can have it touched up again, but it will
end up that way again.
enjoy...................
hope I could help

You can easily take a shower without getting your finger wet. Keep your newly tattooed hand high on the shower wall or curtain rod. Do everything else with the other hand.

You can shower, just put a plastic bag over your hand or you can always wrap that one finger in saran wrap while you take a shower to keep it dry.

Shower the same as you always do just don't rub the tatoo. When you're done, simply reapply the ointment to the tat that was given to you when you had it done.

It's OK if it gets wet - just don't SOAK it.
Also, try not to get any shampoo or smelly good soaps on it.
After you get out, make sure you put your proper ointment on it.
I just got one on the back of my neck last night and I'm trying to figure out how to solve that mystery too. Haha
My tattoo artist pretty much told me just to not get any shampoo on it for the next few days.
Good Luck!
