They happen all the time on soaps like Eastender, but do thy happen that much in real life? I've never gone out with a married man and never known anyone else to. Have you ever? Did you know they were attached when u first had sex?

Unfortunately they are very very common, i know of several people who have had their family existence shattered by the selfish acts of others...

My marriage ended when my husband had an affair with firstly my sister and then one of my so called friends, and both of these women were married and their kids suffered for their actions also...

All I can say is good luck. It's your choice to be a doormat like that. If it's not obvious to her that she's seriously screwing things up ("roommate" my butt -- 60% odds he dumps her for being a liar when he finds out the truth) she's probably hopeless. Yeah, after 3 years and kids calling you Daddy I would call it cheating regardless of the girlfriend/marriage situation. In the meantime she's having her cake and eating it. The sad part is I bet you really love those kids, and if it's splitsville, I doubt you'll have any kind of visitation rights at all. I know you love her. Would moving back make things better? Especially if it was *your* job you were moving for in the first place.

Well my hubby had an affair with a woman who knew he was married with kids and knew i was pregnant when their affair started too, but still it went on for 2 years, shes a home wrecker, a slag and a selfish person.

Yes I have and yes I did, but now Im older and wiser I dont think i ever would again. Apart from the morals of it all, its easier to have someone who you dont have to lie about and that you can go where you want with.

It's just sex. Most people have affairs because they are lacking something from their partner.
