and if you read it it actually makes sense! basically a chicken cannot change its dna structure, an egg can. therefore the egg of something else mutated into a chicken. voila, all sorted.

This comes up about once a week on YA. The egg came first. Dinosaurs laid eggs. Chickens are a fairly recent invention.

I know!
If eggs came first .. there would be no chicken to sit on it... which means the eggs wudnt hatch .... which means there wud be no chickens existing today!
On the other hand if chickens came first .. they could lay the eggs and sit on it .... for the eggs to hatch :)
