If no distinction is made, you can assume you are type A1. A1 is commonly refered to as type A. A2's A3's etc are called A subgroups.

A2 types with anti-A serum with a slightly less strength. It doesn't matter clinically for transfusions or pregnancy.

Blood group is not a ranking. You are A +ve(positive) or , A- ve.(negative).
