Is that an evidence that anyone can just change the Bible verses?

Question

the words of the Bible has been changed to fit the desire of those who wrote it, look how each writer is trying to twist this verse to his own believe Matthew 19:17

first, it's very abvious Jesus has seperated himself from being God, God and Jesus are two different thing.
King James Version, Matthew 19:17
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

2nd writer didn't like how this Verse showing God and Jesus are two different thing, so he has to write it differently than the king James version to make Jesus appear as he is God:

17 He answered him, "Why do you ask me about the good? There is only One who is good. If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments."

amazing! Isn't this suppose to be the Bible of God or the Bible of people?

A good example of why there is such a battle over versions.
There has lately been an explosion of newer, different "versions" of the Bible, and all seem to be given great credibility...by the publishers, and their advertising reps, naturally! It is sad, but the motive they have must be to make money.
Earlier versions were meant to clarify, and make it easier for people to grasp meanings, and perhaps you know not everyone can get the Elizabethan English of the King James Version. But, these so called "translators" of the new versions are, I think, quite reckless.
The King James is perhaps the best English version, second would be the New King James. The NIV is at best 7th grade reading level, and others if compared with the first two will startle you further.
This is why I will stick with the KJV and the Greek texts. Accuracy is so much higher..

Um, I don't know if you realize this, but both versions are saying the same thing.

And actually, I was thinking about that verse just last night, and here's the conclusion I came to:
Jesus said that because people were saying that He was a good man. He was simply saying that only God is good. He didn't say that He wasn't God. Actually, in many other verses, He DOES say He is God. "Before Abraham was, I AM." (John 8:58)

He even forgave sins, which only God Himself and priests could do! Well, He certainly wasn't a priest, so who gave Him the authority to forgive sins?

In Matthew 8, Jesus was able to control the weather. He just told the storm to basically "Cut it out!" and it did. Who gave Him THAT authority?

Quit trying to twist the Bible. It won't work.

The religions gave themselves the right to change anything about God to serve their purpose. History shows that God originally was considered to be a woman (aka: Goddess). Somewhere around the time when Judaism got its start, religion changed God into being a man. Back then the followers were extremely subservient and were told to now believe that God was a man. There is no one in a cloud to control the religions and they get away with doing what ever they want.

Jesus called Himself the good shepherd...I believe Jesus.
There are certain specifics one must follow when publishing a translation of a previous book. Look at the laws on this and you will find out why certain words are used or not used. Part of it is called...copyright infringement.

Im sure like any book of fairy tales people adjust them as time goes by. Even fairy tales written only a hundred years ago have changed so imagine a book of them that started two thousand years ago it probably resembles nothing like the original, It could have started as a workshop manual for a Ford cortina for all you know.

taking a protestant translation and a catholic translation............

for catholics jesus is both human and divine, in the verses he speaks of being on sub par with god he can because of his human nature, that doesn't ever detract from his divinity. when speaking of being on par with god he is due to his divine nature. still the living word just something you don't fully understand or want to understand.
