well i myself would be a lil disappointed but also very proud.
id be proud that my son is honest with me and id know i was doing something right . id be disappointed mostly because i want my son to have a wedding ( but soon they might be able to) but if i were you id tell them very calmly and very easy.
don't be to upset if they cry or get angry or even ignore it but trust me they will get over it and they will love you know matter what.

Hey,
If you have a good relationship with your parents, and they're understanding enough, they should be interested in what's best for you. Because of that they'll totally respect that you're into other guys.
Be careful, though. Don't just go out there and be like ... mum, dad... I'm gay.
Consider it carefully. The only person who can really answer your question is you. If you're really worried, have you read some of the sites out there? Try maybe mogenic.com (although it's inactive at the moment), there are a tonne of stories about coming out.
In my opinion, you'd be better off telling your mum first, and then your dad later on down the track. I don't know why, but for some reason it seems to hurt a guys pride when his son isn't straight.
It's often a difficult thing, but something you really do need to do at some point. There's no rush, as long as you don't make things up to cover yourself. Try to choose a time when your parents aren't stressed already, because you wouldn't want to add to their troubles. I know it's really hard to do (I'm going through the same thing, believe it or not) but it's worthwhile in the end.
Your mum and dad are usually there for your best interests, and they'll respect your decision if they're decent people.

as far as what i think you should do is respect your parents wishes if they dont want you to have a boyfriend while your in their house dont. move out or something. but be honest with them and stuff tell them you have an intrest in this other guy and youd like to go out with him and if they say no then dont for a while, remember love is patient and kind and understanding. just respect your parents wishes while in their house. dont disrespect them by trying to take control of the house and doing whatever you want.

I don't know your mom or your dad. I don't know their religious views. I will say this : if you were my son, I would be comfortable with you having a boyfriend.

Yeah would surely allow u to have a boyfriend but won't encourage gay sex as
that would harm the organs & would be against nature.
So my son, always prefer to have a girl friend for that & boyfriend for rest if u r so attracted towards boys.
Have a nice time.

it would not bother me,but it depends a lot on how old you are,as to how your parents would react!.if i had a daughter under 16 i would worry what she was doing with the guy,i would feel the same if i had a son underage with a guy too!

Depends on how open minded your parents are. They might be shocked about it but if they are understanding parents they will support, otherwise be prepared to be treated different by them.

If you want to know what sort of a reaction you'd get from YOUR parents you'll have to ask them.

I would have no problem finding out if one of my children were gay. But they still wouldn't be allowed to date until they're 15. That said, my husband would flip his lid. Just depends on the person. Good luck.
