We saw the Ark in the Alexander Allen museum of religious artefacts on main street Pine Bluff Virginia, and it just did not look old enough to be prehistoric, especially the allen bolts holdng the aluminum frames to the marine ply planks. Surely if this is a fake then the bible is fake to.

Thats a fake ark. The REAL ark is in James Dobbson's pole-barn down in North Carolina.

One of the most important religious artifacts the world has ever heard of is in an almost unheard of town in Virginia, and the Ark of the Covenant is in the pioneer museum in Harrisville, Australia, population about 150. Scholars are flocking from all over the world to inspect this fantastic acquisition. Boom times ahead for the only pub in Harrisville as it struggles to accommodate them.

Nobody knows where Mount "Ararat" is. Some people say it's this hill, some that. Others say another. One piece of wood from Noahs ark turned out to be a bit of Californian pine soaked in teriyaki sauce. Another "ark" was a mass flow of mud that came to a halt in a vaguely ship form. It contained things like Turkish ball-point pens, which old Noah probably used to cross the flightless kiwis off his list as they waddled aboard, all the way from New Zealand. Poor things had to walk all the way back too while dodging lions, leopards, hyenas, Tasmanian tigers and devils, dogs, cats and who knows how many other predators, a pair of each.

Do you think that Noah borrowed a set of Allen keys from his neighbour, and when he gave them back said, "Sorry mate, you can't come?"

There was no actual flood, no ark. There are ancient 'story myths' from all around the world that people used to explain things. There was a flood story myth that arose, somehow- we don't know how or why- that had geographical variations, and it was told in Babylonia, and from China to N. America. The Babylonian version had an ark in an impractical 'magic cube' shape; another more mundane version had a family simply climbing a mountain to safety.

The Bible version adapted this story, and was told to prefigure, to represent, ahead of time, Christ as Saviour. Hebrew words often have double meaning. The words used to describe materials used in construction of the Ark show that it was to be made as a ransom, a price paid with blood, as atonement, i.e. a sacrifice made for sin. It had no sails, oars or rudder, probably not even a window to see where one was going. Everything was left to God, in the story. That is also the message of Christ, that we are unable to save ourselves by our own efforts, our own attempts to be good. It is only through faith in Christ, by 'getting inside the Ark', that we can be saved.

There has been what some people claim to have been the remains of the Ark found, but they are not as far as i know in a museum. As far as it all being fake, it's how you look at it and read the bible if you really believe that the earth was flooded and the ark held 2 of every animal then what you need to look at is Noah's world was flooded, but how big was his world. in those days how far could he travel, or how far would he travel, answer not very far, so when it says the world was flooded, it was Noah's world, and his family, and of course his animals, so that part could be true if you look at it that way.

OK in the 60's a U2 spy plane spotted an odd wooden boat near the top of a big mountain in Turkey.

Ever since Turkey has refused any experts investigating this.

Is that the real Noahs Ark??????????????????

The story of Noah & the Arc is not the word of God but the word of ignorant man who didn't know that 2 of every species of living things on this planet weighs over 100 million tons. Noah would have needed an Arc a few miles long. Bible based religions know that its not the word of God but they insist that the followers believe that it is, while they pass around a collection basket.

Doesn't the story of the ark sound plausible to you? If you strip out all of the goofy parts, then would it sound plausible? Or, does it all sound goofy? It makes sense to me that god would admit failure and kill off all of his creation so that he could try again, and again and again. It sure seems that this time he got it right. I wonder how evil Noah's pals were if they were so much worse than people today.

Satelite pictures confirm that there is a large structure half way up Mount Ararat that used to be in one piece, but has now split into two. People have claimed to have seen the ark, but this is a restricted area now, well policed by terrorist militia. If there is nothing up there, why are they guarding it?

How big would the ark have been to carry 2 of everything? Think about it

That's just a model, it's not meant to be the real ark but an image of what they think it looked like.

And nobody has found the ark.
