If you live somewhere cold like I do, you shouldn't! It may be real, it may not be, either way, this (realistic) enviornmentalist still doesn't care.

Because it affects the entire planet and everyone and everything living on it.
The effects of global warming are evident all around and in time these effects will get steadily worse. The consequences for the future if nothing is done are horrifying.
In recent years the world has experienced extreme heatwaves, increased storms, extensive drought and flooding, massive desertification, spread of disease, loss of low lying islands. These aren't things that might happen in the future, these are things that have already happened and are happening now.
We've done almost nothing to combat global warming and whilst we've been dragging our heels, incidences of the events mentioned above (and many others) have been steadily increasing. They'll keep on increasing unless action is taken.
Global warming isn't some mystery that we don't understand, we know what the causes and effects are, we can see these effects, we can see where things are heading.
Nobody should force you to care about global warming, you should be free to make your own choices. Choose wisely.

Global warming will happen no matter what it is just a matter of time when does the global warming happens and can we humans, animals and plants adapt with the new climate.
If you can't,you will die either from skin cancer because the ozone layer is thinning or you will die because of starvation. This is because animals and plants will also die if they can't adapt with the new climate.
Or you could die because of flood or excessive heat. When global warming happens the sea level will be up a few level thus flooding certain cities such as Bangladesh.During global warming also other than poles will get more heat and there could be a heat wave at certain countries in Europe.
Not to mention hurricanes.Bad air because of less plants.

Hi Anna J
You should care about Global Warming, as it is your future and the future of everyone else here on the planet.
In the past centuary we have allowed bombs, airplanes, cars, trains, ships, to get bigger and better, and all of these have added to the depletion of the oxygen in the atmosphere and the increase of carbon di oxide, so that the planet is heating up. In a few years time it will be so hot in summer that people will be dying in the streets with exhaustion etc.
The polar ice caps are melting already, large icebergs are breaking off the polar ice caps, and floating far up into the Pacific and Indian oceans, being in real mass near the country of New Zealand. The water levels around the continent are rising, most cities will become like Venice, with water in the streets, for up to 50 mile in from the coastlines.
These things are a reality, it only began a centuary ago, we are starting to reverse this, and it needs the generations to come after us to continue on in the work.
This is the future of the world that we are talking about here, and we need to be vigilant in any carbon that is being emmitted into the atmosphere as this is the main culprit of the global warming.
In the country I live in, the cement in summer is getting hot enough to cook eggs on it, and the bitumen melts in the summer sun, it is not good, and soon it will be worse.

If you don't care about global warming, may I ask you one quick question?
Where do you or your children intend to live if the great planet Earth is suffering from extensive global warming, in the future?
Is there someplace you know about that we are not aware of?
If yes, then would you please be so kind as to enlighten this chap?
Take good care of what you already have, because if you don't, you may not have it very long.

friend, you should care about global warming, otherwise you or your future generation can not live long in this world.
the emission of Green house gases like Carbon-di-oxide, Sulphur-di-oxide,etc from industries, leads to global warming. Because of the emission of Green house gases, the thin atmosphere of the earth will be corroded.
our earth atmosphere is made by Ozone layer, which contains 3 parts of oxygen gas. Since this ozone layer is very soft, it is being made thinner by the green house gases, which is being out from industries or somewhere else. if the ozone layer is become thinner and thinner, it will lose the tendency of protecting Ultra-violet rays, which is being emitted by sun and is very harmful to the world. if the ultra violet rays from sun reaches earth, it will melt the polar regions, which is made up of ice and snows. This is what global warming.
if it is so happened, the water level of the earth will increase and the whole world will be ended up. It will also affects some living organisms in the earth.
so you should care about global warming ya.

You shouldn't.
Lets all remain living in this myopic little bubble we've encased ourselves in.
Lets all further our isolation by continuously turning away from the real issues.
Lets not change from being apathetic self centered individuals that we are.
Who gives a crap if global warming puts us all underwater in 10 years time?
Lets all remain in denial.

I suppose that's a rhetorical question, but just in case, look no further than www.wikipedia.org and do a search of "Global Warming".

You don't have to care. People didn't care much about terrorist attacks before 9/11, either. We all go down with a sinking ship. Enjoy the ride, oh ignorant one....
