Why would I want a 100 million mosque? It seems a little wasteful to me. Does Allah teach that you should spend 100 million in order to worship him? Surely the money would be better spent helping the poor, homeless, abused children, elderly etc. If your god wants you to spend so much money on him then I see no enlightenment behind your religion. If you pray does it make a difference if it is in a small shack or a 100 million pound building? I'm not sure that I would want to take the funding from other areas and perhaps have people die for a mosque. Would your god?

Why build a mosque? Did god ask for it? Or is this just another scam to take money from normal people and put 30% of the money in bricks and the rest in "god knows what"?
In the last couple of years scams like this have been unveiled in regard with Muslim (Holland, Germany) Christian (VS) and Buddhist (Thailand) mosques, churches and wats.

I give my money to poor people and not to megalomaniacs who try to dominate the whole area (and I mean any of the so called religions).

I am sure that if your project fails, god will show you the direct way to hapiness: bricks and ideas are not important, people are. And they are all the same.

In America, never. In Britain they are rapidly approaching a violent retaliation against the Muslims who are polluting England's streets. It will never happen there either but there will be large scale bloodshed sooner or later as the Muslims are violently sent back to the third world shitholes they came from. I can't wait.

Crystallinectar - no seperation of church and state in the UK.

Ironically though, we are a far less religious population as a whole than you guys in the States.

n.b. - that's not a dig, it's an empirical observation ;)

Erm - WoodyB - no we do not officially have a seperation of Church and State - The United Kingdom is offficially a Christian State in which the Supreme Head of the Church of England is the Monarch in Parliament and has been since Henry VIII's reign. A Catholic (and a Muslim or a Hindu or a Jew etc, for that matter) is ostensibly precluded from holding the throne and nothing - absolutely nothing - has changed that within the course of the last 300 years, since the Act of Settlement in 1700.

Please feel free to prove me wrong, however.

Can i ask you if red dragon is the type of Muslim you want in your mosque....it sounds to me like a threat...and you wonder why it's a problem for UK residents. I am very interested in your opinion...

EDIT: I put a star here for my contacts!!

Am i to believe you are in agreement with poster red dragon since you have not answered my Q?

NO not going to help there ....we Christians in a christian state had to raise funds ourselves to build our churches ,,,, and did not have to go to Q/A to get funds and this is not in the community guidelines and with respect to your beliefs the sound of someone on high tower calling me to pray in this country is a no no prefer bells sorry ...

Crystallinectar, Gilders is wrong, we *DO* have seperation of church and state here in the UK and long may it continue to be so.

as for the orginal poster, I approve of you wanting to raise awareness of your faith. Here in Bedford, the Islamic community pulled together and a fine Mosque has been built.
