When it comes to the whole dating thing I'm pretty bad at introductions and first impressions - whether in person or on-line. Any advice on introducing yourself to a stranger through MySpace without coming off as a psycho stalker yet interesting enough to reply to.

It is completely acceptable to meet people on myspace. I have met plenty of people on myspace and dated them. My current boyfriend is from myspace. Myspace allows you to show your true colors by desiging your own space. Start by sending a message to show interest. You don't have to add someone as a friend right away. Just email short notes back and forth and go from there. It isn't as pretencious as on-line dating sites and you may just make a new friend if dating isnt in the cards. Make your self shine and send a few emails to some girls in your area. The worst that can happen is they are not interested. Then move on! Good luck to ya!!

Meeting anyone using on line methods is risky. You should be careful. You should try and make friends with those on my space but you have to know that who people are on line and who people are off line, can be different. You really shouldn't rely solely on online methods when it comes to dating. But if you do meet someone on my space, take your time getting to really know them. I met my ex on there. In the beginning he was great but later on I learned so much. I didn't take the time to really learn him. I should have known better. But anywho, if you do meet someone on there, great! Just talk often and don't rush anything people do pretend on line.

if i don't know them, then they aren't going on my "friends" list. plain and simple.
personally, it's very risky to try to meet people online. you don't know who these people really are. anyone's picture can be posted.

i would not met anyone off mysace i would go to mach.com it is way better then mysace. unless you know them and you they aren't going to rape you your fine.
