I am in high school and I am very interested in becoming a doctor and I am very interested in medicine.
I would love to start learning about some of the things now.
Is there some kind of website where I can learn medical terminology and other things about medicine?

I haven't checked how good any of these are but for starters...

http://www.medterms.com/script/main/hp.asp
http://www.pharma-lexicon.com/
http://www.healthline.com/dictionary/health&utm_medium=google&utm_source=dictionary&utm_campaign=dictionary&utm_term=medical%20terminology

(you can even test yourself when you've learnt them all on here ;) )

I think this might be an instance where a book would really be more helpful than a website. I'd recommend Stedman's Medical Dictionary. They have a couple editions that vary in cost. If you end up being a doctor it'll cost about $300,000 or so depending on where you go to college and med school, so one book really isn't much of an investment. ;-)

Also, your enthusiasm is great and you'll need to keep that going because you'll need to work it at for a long time. The reason it takes so long to become a doctor is that to really understand medical issues you have to have a decent understanding of a lot of other sciences first. The big ones are biology, biochemistry, molecular genetics, chemistry, organic chemistry and physics. So, don't get discouraged if things don't make sense right away. It takes a lot of time and a lot of work to get all that information into your head.

Good luck!
