Here is the Muslim proof. If we ask you how was the world created you will say the big bang. If we say from what base substance did all living things evolove you will say water. You have these answers because you believe in science and the great advancements in science in the last century has shown you that many things in the Bible are incompatable with modern science. So you infer science is real and in front of my eyes and it has clear proof so you naturally leave the bible.

What do you think many people thought 14 centuries ago if someone started talking about he big bang or that all living things have come from water. Well there was only one man in history who brought these ideas- Muhammad

The Qur'an says in chapter 21 al-Anbiya' verse 30
"Haven't the disbeleivers considered that the heavens and the earth were just one joined enitity and then we seperated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?"

Where did he get his info?

Crystllaninecter- How about chapter 51 adh-dhaariyaat verse 47
"And we created the universe with strength and we are its expander."

You guys all seem to be just as closed minded as any other fanatic. Read The Qur'an, the bible and science by Maurice Bucaille. He was a french scientist (athesit) who when faced with criticizing the Qur'an he became Muslim and wrote this book.

It's not that Atheists don't want proof, it's that they don't want to believe.

Do you actually have a clue about what the "Big Bang" theory is about? It was proposed by a priest as a way to allow God to create the Universe. It fit well enough with cosmological observations that it is regarded as a decent working Hypothesis. NASA refuses to call it a theory and if yuou search it on NASA's site the page makes it clear that it is only a hypothesis. A hypothesis is a guess that so far matches all of the observations, but is still untestable like a theory would be.

Nobody knows how the universe started. Anybody that says that they do is lying, even your Holy men.

Beside, what would a half dehydrated desert camel jockey think was life if not water, He certainly would not have regarded the endlessly blowing desert sands as a source of life.

Sorry to break this to you, but that's an interpretation of the passage. Like all religious texts, you have the choice to either take them literally or as allegories. The problem with the second choice is that you can interpret many statements in numerous ways, so there is no truth to your statement. Afterall, both Native American tribes and African tribes have the same creation stories - some entity pulling apart the heavens and the Earth into separate forms and using water to create life. That's not proof; that's storytelling 101.

No I won't - I'll say amino acids AND water. I hate it when people tell me what I'm going to say because they are ALWAYS wrong.

By the way: The Koran was based on the Jewish Holy books because Muhammed needed an example for his people. As the sons of Abraham, you are half-Jewish. Chew on that for a while.

Muhammed didn't talk about the Big Bang, but there have been a lot of contributions to astronomy by Arabs.

There is nothing scientific about faith or religion of any kind.It is 100% belief and 0% science. The day it becomes scientific is the day you can prove beyond a shadow of doubt that there really is a God/Allah by showing him to the world and allowing him to be studied in detail. Not words in a book.Actual physical proof. Then your religion can be considered science.

The underlying tone of your post suggests that Christians should not believe in God. Muslim belief is that there is no God...but Allah. Plainly speaking Allah and God are symbols to represent what is chosen to be believed. I think it is very shallow of you to denounce someone else's religion just get your word out.
Quote by one of your brethern, Dr. Zakir Naik

My Muslim brothers may question me, "Zakir, why are you congratulating an atheist?" The reason that I am congratulating an atheist is because he agrees with the first part of the Shahada i.e. the Islamic Creed, ‘La ilaaha’ - meaning ‘there is no God’. So half my job is already done; now the only part left is ‘il lallah’ i.e. ‘BUT ALLAH’ which I shall do Insha Allah. With others (who are not atheists) I have to first remove from their minds the wrong concept of God they may have and then put the correct concept of one true God.

So you're saying that evolution and big bang exists in Qur'an?

Then why didn't muslim scholars put forward those theories before Darwin and Einstein did?

Come on, this is yet another failed attempt to give "proof" of omnipotent, omniscient entity.

You will get Nobel Prize if you prove him pal, so keep trying!

First of all, not all atheists believe in the big bang like myself. Second, substituting scripture and correlating it with science isnt going to convince atheists there is a God. You want us to believe in your God, Then proove it. Enough said.

That which was never created has always existed in some form. Then, couldn't the universe fit into this category?

well the problems with that are that a) it mentions heaven--big bang and abiogenesis have nothing to do with heaven and 2) nothing was separated, it merely expanded.

oh, and 3) you claim that we "believe" in science. you can't believe in science, you can either accept it or not. there is no belief involved.
