I understand your question exactly. Actually, there are a lot of valuable questions and answers in this section, but they do not comprise the majority.
To find good questions/answers, you'll need to use the "Search for questions" feature.
Posting & answering questions often enough will put you in contact with others who provide valuable contributions.
I suggest you just ignore the trolls and look for the gold. You'll find it. :-)

I think a lot of it has to do with the way questions are worded. Additionally, many people are either threatened by beliefs other than their own, or they feel like they are under attack. You need to develop thicker skin to stay here, and don't take things too personally. I give some smart@#$ responses sometimes, but I generally only do so as a joke or to point out the condescending nature of the question.
There is some degree of thoughtful question-answer, but you have to be willing to wade through the other stuff to get to it. Generally, when a question is asked in a truly respectful and kind way, many answers will be the same. I promise you that if you ask a question that is thoughtful or simply inquisitive, I will answer you respectfully. Though you can't know this about me for sure, I don't break promises. My word is my bond.

Some people are so closed minded and brain washed about what they believe that they can't see the others arguments. I am personally a Christian, but, understand that not everyone sees my point of view and I respect that. People must remember that you have to show respect and compassion to the other person or they will never even consider your point of view. It is disgusting how people (and from my POV, Christians) try to bully people into believing whatever it is. It's almost like me telling you, you must believe the sky is green. Then pushing and pushing and pushing you into believing that. You will never accept it as truth if I do that.

If you were a Christian and somebody came along and told you that everything you believed in and had been told all your life was a myth, how would you react? If you were very conscious of history and knew the origins of the "divinity" of Jesus was decided at the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. and not before, how do you tell that to people that have been told none of this? There is a lot of fighting about this for the same reason that there is fighting about being a liberal or a conservative - people have differences of opinion on what is and what is not true, and some of those people get very nasty in their debate.

Why are you criticizing the Christians and non Christians?
This should be a place to explore without criticism. Without being judged.
LoL. Its really circular isn't it? And circular arguements abound here.

The Bible says that the last days are characterised by these things:
"People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power." (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
The "last days", I think, comes about because of the "eschatological reminiscences" of the traditional mythology section of society. They are referred to on the page listed below. It says: "Reductive hermeneutics as for instance brought forward by Freud, Lévi - Strauss, Dumézil, Malinowski, Lévy - Bruhl, Mauss etc… demythicizes myths and symbols... Bringing their significance up to date and making them topical, this interpretation follows an analytical and simpler, almost algebrical logic and ends up by withering the heuristic potentialities proper to symbols, turning their eschatological reminiscences into a mere game of combinatorial mechanics." By this means, the traditional oligarchical elements of society control, via the workings of mythological psychic images of public behaviour as if they are liturgical mime, the behaviour of the anarchy, or pagans, from which Christianity derives most of its converts. 1 Corinthians 1:26 says: "Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth."
Ye all are pawns of the establishment and their bedroom politics. Eschatology means: "any system of doctrines concerning last, or final, matters, as death, the Judgment, the future state, etc." This could refer to the way triad worship, for example, has historically existed due to the desire of certain prominent members of society to want to "die well", hence the building of large structures to remind people of how important they are - like the pyramids. So anything happening in the lives of influential members of society, especially as interpreted within a theological and possibly mythological framework, that touches on themes of judgement etc. as above would filter into the public consciousness as utopian promises and grandiose aspirations that are ridiculous beyond belief. And yet people continue to believe in their own complimented selves and spout uber-nonsense to see if that will be the opinion that gets noticed.
Jude 8 says that dreamers pollute their bodies and slander celestial beings (alternative rendering - opinions). The popular perception seems to be that the decision-makers in society are hard workers and will notice the outpourings of other time-strapped hard workers. (Dream on...)

There is, when it is deserved. I don't give handouts to ones who expect it. A "bum" gets my money, not the panhandler. See the difference. You expect something for nothing.
