A digital clock is electrical engineering(no moving parts). A clock with "hands" is mechanical engineering, the moving parts are what makes it mechanical.

I think it's a good idea to take both courses if you can, since everything made these days depends on both.

Have fun!

I study electrical engineering and I'm currently in my 4th year. I have one more to go. I can tell you it's hard. I guess all engineering subjects are hard.
An electrical clock can have a micro motor that operates it. It can also be a digital clock having electronic parts. A mechanical clock relies on a spring that accumulates energy. That energy is used to drive the clock.

depends on the clock. if there are moving parts it is mechanical.

If it is electrical then it is electrical.

However, most watches these days are both. Mechanical parts driven by a quartz electical timing system. take mechanical, More usefull.

The clock is mechanical engineering. They have used clocks since... a long freaking time ago.

But I would take electrical. More demand for it.

A clock used to be a mechanical device with spring, gears etc. Now clocks are mostly electronic with quartz cystals, LCD or LED display etc., with a few buttons to set time, date etc. So, mostly electronic. Analog watches / clocks do have movements which are mechanical.

clock is a part of only mechatronics means combination of mechanical elect. electronics &chemical, but heart of clock is mechanical . we can design clock pourly by mechanical system ,but we can never make pourly electrical or any other device clock i can explain brifely with every reason

Depends on if it is an electric clock...or not....what kind of clock is it? If it has gears its mechanical. Wires-Electrical
