My husband seems to think that the statement is true...i think he's nuts.

Sneezing is caused by any irritant in the nasal passage. It can be from an allergen or nasal secretions. When you sneeze you are trying to blow out the irritant.

You're right. He's nuts. One of the main symptoms of a head cold is sneezing.

that's not true because if only allergies could make you sneeze then you wouldn't sneeze when you smelled pepper or there was dust in the air

I have had sneezing when getting a cold, and it is called rhinovirus.
