I mean, most of their answers are way too short and often sarcastic!

Am I just being a smartass? No. I honestly don't buy into the whole God story. I actually find that UFO goofballs have more credibility than your average "good" Christian. Hey, the universe is big--I'd be more willing to listen to someone's story about being visited by extra-terrestrial life than someone else's story about an invisible man who lives in the sky. When you really put some thought into it, the whole religion game is pretty nutty. Trying to answer irrational questions with rational answers just doesn't always cut it. Sarcasm... yeah! Most of the time, it fits perfectly.

[Edit] And so does a "thumbs down!" Uh... bless you?

Most of my answers are more than a paragraph in length. In the face of the unbelievable arrogance and self-righteousness of many of the posts by christians brevity and sarcasm often represent the best way to get a point across.

The reasons not to believe in a deity are worthy of a book. In fact, Richard Dawkins' "The God Delusion" is just such a book. I heartily recommend giving it a read, and see what one of the world's foremost minds has to say on the subject of the ridiculousness of religion.

Yes they are. Everyone in the world KNOWS that the
Christian version of God and creation are really, really,
true. Atheists are just foolin' around with you.

You are just being tested, or played with. Atheists
deserve absolutely none of your time or effort.

You KNOW what is true. Stick to your guns, so to
speak.

After all, you are the one that believes something with
absolutely no evidence whatsoever. How can you be wrong?

Nope. We don't need to waste a lot of space pasting chapter and verse out of some fairy tale book....We aren't lemmings repeating what we've been told for centuries. We think for ourselves, and the answer to religious fanaticism can be quite short. Organized religion is a bunch of crap.

Not most of us. It sounds like you're the smart *** for even asking that ? Religion is the greatest BS story ever told. It's all about money & war. This world would be A LOT less screwed up w/o organized religion. Don't GET me started.

Yes how others saying a shorter answer a better answer.
But lets just don`t forget that an answer should be informative too.
Ok an example ...
"How did Kennedy got kiled?"
a sarcastic answer will be
a bullet in his head(or where it was)
a good answer
He may did some things that some people haven`t agree with.
He was killed in his car ... etc

From what answer do you get "How Kennedy has got killed?"

they are fond of humour and sarcastic brevity...perhaps its a desire to prove how light hearted they are compared to the average religious answerer...after all, there is no apparent humour in the bible...it would seem inevitable that zealously applying the bible's "teachings" to one's own life may have an effect on their sense of humour...

I often see no reason to go into detail. Short answers usually do the job well.

Besides, sarcasm is funny.

No. You have to understand that we honestly believe we are correct, just as you honestly believe you are correct.

We can come across as arrogant, but that happens because, generally speaking, we ARE more intelligent and well-informed than most religious folk.
