If you have decided on which pin-up you want. Sketch it, doesn't have to be perfect, just the dimensions is ok. Then,
cut it out and stand in front of a full length mirror and tape it
to different placed.........outside you calf, an your forearm, upper arm.........know what I mean? Good.........
now the biggest thing is to find the right guy to do the best job.
Shop around, look at the tats on others, if you like it, ask who did it........you know what to do.......right............sure.

good luck,
hope I could help

Depends on the artist and style of the tattoo. No Bettie Paige, please! Get something unique and special. There are many coffee table books that have old WW2 era pinup prints in them. Choose an artist with an amazing portfolio who does really excellent and painterly color work. Don't just get an outline and some color - go the extra mile, spend the extra dollar, and get a magnificent piece of artwork that will take more than an hour or two to tattoo, but a lifetime to appreciate.

Pin up girl tattoos look great if they're done well. On the back, shoulder or arm they look pretty good.

i am not a fan of pin-up tattoos but that's just me. there are a lot of artists out there that are very good at doing them but there are just as many who aren't. so it could be good if you got the right artist but could be very bad if you didn't. tho it seems like most guys get their pin-up where they can see it.

shoulder, upper. good, just no nipples please. cover them up with her shirt. thanks....it just gets embarrassing to stare at the nipples. it just depends on how the girl's position is. figure out which one you want, then talk to the artist.
