Did you know that if I had never studied the bible for myself...and even had other christians who were quite fluent and clear with the bible, speak to me about what it was written for and what it has to do with humans, that I wouldn't have any clue of what you are trying to tell me when you attempt to share your faith? For instance...this is what someone said earlier and please don't get mad I'm not trying to be offensive but here's what he said...

"Life is now { I am the life}so life is truth, the truth of being {I am the truth}. All roads lead from this point, {I am the way}. The I AM is most important and very simple. The I AM is in life now, you know this I AM if you can just *be*, but unworthy teachers have misled many. ~ : )"

Not trying to be offensive but can anyone who is not a christian determine much of what this means? I think there's a lot of people that don't like christians just because of this...opinions welcome

Yes this statement is vary confusing. When it comes down to it allot of the Bible and the way it is interpreted and shard can be confusing.
There is immense amounts of logic involved in the Bible. A thorough understanding is necessary before a person can begin to see how the Bible applies to life. It takes many reads through in different mind frames to begin to understand the Bible. When someone has read the Bible quite a bit it becomes hard to describe life with out using Biblical terms and reasoning. Though the person reading begins to understand better.

Raw Truth wouldn't be vary easy to understand.

If you want to know the truth for yourself, get your self a New Living translation of the Holy Bible, it is written in plain modern English. Don't take the word of other people, find out for yourself.

I think the person you quoted was trying to sound eloquent and knowledgeable--but really tried to stuff too many feet into his mouth at one time....honestly, I'm a christian and I have no clear understanding of that statement.

Jesus referred to himself as "I AM" in the New Testament. He was quoting from Exodus 3:15 ? where the name of God is "I AM".

I am a true born agin Bible believing Christian, but I am not sure where you got that verse at because I have never heard it before. Do you know what verse it is and I can tell you what it means?

Also, I don't get offended or mad, as this is a place to ask questions and get answers, but my answers tend to offend people who are not Christian.

I'll tell ya what. I can make LOTS of sense out of this one KEY point...

~but unworthy teachers have misled many. ~

Now if only the christians would "GET IT", heed their precious lords words, and stop running around shooting their mouths off like they know everything, we would all be just fine.

i totally agree, the biggest turn-off of organized religion is being connected to weirdos like the one who would post that. There are tons of examples like that every day, where it's just utter nonsense. And the funny part is, it makes sense to them. Big ups to the christians who at least keep it understandable.

Mate, I am a christian and it is the best thing I have ever done. A lot of non believers do not lide being bashed. I do not bash people, I simply tell them if the spirit leads me, to tell them of my experience and how I became a christian, and to tell them that having God in your life makes life easier than not having God in your life. It is called seed planting and not bashing. Leanne

i'll assume that 'I AM' refers to that christian god (trinity included)?

it means christianity is full of crap. the only way to god that i see working in this world is a direct path of yoga and devotion. the idea being that individual mortals can find god on their own. christianity preaches the exact opposite of what that quote says. christianity is based on finding god through jesus. and thats ****** up, divinity is in us all, just some of us are ignorant
