It may be your metabolism.
You may be very active and burn calories.
It's important to have a well balanced diet.
If you are always going to be thin, at least, with a well balanced diet, you will be healthy.
Both my husband and a friend of mine are tall thin people.
They can eat what ever they want and never gain a pound.
My family lineage, including myself and my four children have to keep our calorie intake between 12 hundred and 16 hundred calories in order to stay thin.
My husbands lineage is just like him. They are all tall and thin.
I envy you even though I shouldn't.
I hope medical research can soon find the answer for both you and I.
It would be heaven for me to go on a binge and eat all the good stuff I want, but I can't, because I can gain 5 lbs in a week.
Just think of your health and eat healthy.
Thanks for the question.

My 13 year old son eats constantly and is very thin. I was the same way when I was a teen as well (5'11" and 110 pounds in high school but I ate constantly!!!). I think it is due to a combination of genetics and having a really good and fast metabolism when you are a teen. Plus, 13 and 14 year olds are in a really active growing stage. My son seems to be growing a few inches every day so he needs a lot of fuel for that much growth/bodily activity.
And once you become an older adult to some extent in your 20's, and then more dramatically in your 30's or 40's it won't be the same: your metabolism will slow down and if you still eat a lot you will gain weight much more easily esp. if you don't exercise. It is much harder for me to avoid gaining weight as I get older! Btw, just avoid those who call you anorexic or whatever, they are probably just jealous!!!

Ask your parents to take you to a doctor if you are concerned. However, since you are 14 and only 5' tall, you may still grow, or you may just be a smaller body type.
You should try to learn about some muscle-building exercises. If you build a little muscle, you will gain weight. Try swimming or walking or weight lifting or play sports.
Also, make sure that when you're snacking that you get a lot of protein. Try white meat (like chicken), nuts, peanut butter, cottage cheese, yogurt, and other protein-rich foods.
Make sure you ask a doctor, parents, or the gym teacher at your school about how to eat healthy and be healthy. Don't worry about your weight as much as making sure that you take care of yourself. Everyone has a different body type, we all have to learn how to take care of the one that we have!

if you`re over 5`8" tall and of slim build , there ain`t nothing you can do IF you`ve got a fast metabolism...! i`m 44 and 6`2" and only weigh 115pds. i eat only ONCE a day (from Morning until Sleep-time) and i can`t put it on , either. i don`t eat junk-food , only normal and Healthy foods and it doesn`t stay `on my frame`. i also work in a VERY Physical environment , so it would be the exercise that would be keeping it off me. people have said to me , all of my Life: don`t worry , as soon as you hit 40 , you`ll slow down and gain..! hasn`t happened yet. every-body`s Metabolism is different , so don`t Panic. after-all , i`m LIVING PROOF that gives creedence to the old saying .... that you can`t fatten a "Thorough- bred". good luck and just keep an eye on the Foods that you do eat , don`t be tempted to go for the FATTY foods. more Protien and Carb`s is the way to go.

Quoting Wikipedia:
"Ectomorphic body type is characterized by long arms and legs and a short upper body, and supposedly have a higher level of nervous tissue. They also have long and thin muscles. Ectomorphs usually have a very low fat storage; therefore they are usually referred to as skinny. An example would be an élite marathon runner."
I'm an ectomorph myself and have the same experience as you. Generally speaking, your body is simply using more energy than it receives, so if you're planning on gaining weight, then yes, you'll have to eat a lot, like i did.
Really, it's more important to be comfortable with the way you are in spite of what people say. There's nothing wrong with being skinny. As you grow older, you'll likely tend to gain weight much easier.

It could be several things. For one, you're young. Are you very active? Your metabolism is probably pretty high, which burns up more calories. You're still growing. Your caloric needs are much greater than at any other time of your life. However, you probably need to see a doctor to have him rule out other possible causes such as hyperthyroidism. Chances are, though, you are one of the lucky ones who can eat whatever you want and not get fat. If it's just your natural metabolism to be thin, that may change somewhat when you stop growing. Your metabolism will slow down, naturally.

It could be your metabolism. If you watched me myself and Irene, you could see that one of jim carey's boys was always eating junk food when he was a kid and didnt gain a pound, and when he grew up he was a tubby guy.
from my knowledge, if your an adult, and eat a piece of cake, you'll turn into a monster overnight. When your a kid and eat a piece of cake, you stay the same.
And yeah I really hope its not parasites, because im just like you but much taller and a bit older than you (16, 5'9, 140)

You could have parasites. type in parasites into a google search and see what it shows ... everybody has them but nobody needs them ...
My entire family does several cleanses a year for these critters and we do other cleanses as well - when we can afford them all
