I hear that martial arts is really good for this type of problem. It helps keep you controlled, balanced and confident. Also Yoga.
If your body is producing too much testosterone this can cause the moody and grumpyness.
Try other less aggressive exercises, like swimming and jogging. Walking is surprisingly very beneficial for this. There are books about the amazing benefits of walking. I always feel better after walking. (one or two miles even is enough to refresh you)
Also make sure you are drinking enough water.

Hmm..i can't see lifting weights being the cause of your personality changing, but It could just be that you've bottled alot up inside over the years, now that you're building yourself up...some 'tough guy' is coming out in you and you're developing an attitude. I am glad you're acknowledging this and even your friends have brought it to your attention...You need to simmer down some, go to counselling to control your anger and find out why* exactly are you being like this. Your hormones could be in overdrive..but you definately need to stop this behaviour before it gets you hurt or in big trouble* Dig deep within, and find out what's been eating you up for a few years/over the years* Work on that~ :) Keep on Smlin*

happened to me
I think that because i was on the computer all the time
i got cranky when i wasnt doing wat i wanted to do. I feel like people are jumping on my case when they arent. so i tried to STOP doing the thing that was making me angry and i started getting softer and sweeter as i had beeen before and people got very confused. lol Maybe there is something you do that you almost have you mind in all the time and if your not doing what you want to you just dont feel like doing anything else and you get mad easily? I'm not sure. i'm just a kid after all.

Sounds like you can be pretty nasty. I don't think it's because your lifting. You may be having a bout of depression which is causing you to blow up for no real reason. Best to talk to your doctor maybe you have a chemical imbalance and he/she can help with that.

it is certainly not from lifting weights or woorking out. that would relieve stress.

Have you tried not being a jerk, not blowing off your friends and getting laid? If not you might want to jerk off a few times a day....it might help.

Could be an elevated testosterone level. Talk to your doctor.
