Kyle Busch! I cannot stand what he does and what he gets away with... Sometimes I wonder when he is going to grow up and stop being a child. Every few races he crashes a car, slaps the wall, runs his mouth, or makes a dumb decision on the track that hurts the whole hendrick team. I would love to see Hendrick get rid of Kyle Busch and sign someone like JR. I dont understand how long they are going to give Kyle... sure he has won some races, but how many cars has he busted... He still has not learned that to win a race the lenghth of nascar races you cant drive 100 percent every lap! I think this is why he knocks down the wall on all the tracks.

Montoya is my second choice. Everyone thinks he is just going to be such a great driver. The fact is he is not driving a car that if there was zero gravity it would still stick to the ground. He is driving a 3600lbs RACE CAR... The days of driving the mini jets have passed and he might as well be a rookie. There is very little he can take from his F1 days and use in a Nascar, they are two seperate worlds. Lets remember the one race that he won, he had to spin out his teammate. Now I would guess that he would have won that race in the first place, but the way he did it made me think he was not sure if he could or not... so there you are

KY Busch
Montoya

Ill go with Mikey Waltrip and Montoya.

Waltrip has been around forever won a total of 4 races all on plate races when DEI was the class of NASCAR.

Montoya is a good racer but is clearly over his head in a stock car. I think he will be good but could have used a year in Busch or Trucks to get the hang of a the weight of a stock car compared to open wheel racing of Cart and F1.

I hate Gordon but how can people say he is overrated? He has some down years but nothing just horrible.

Jr isn't in very good equipment. Sometimes its good and sometimes its not. He still has 17 career wins which puts him in the same area as Kenseth just without the championship.

I think Kahnes struggles are due to his team.

Busch just needs to realize you cant run and entire race like its qualifying. Once he backs it down and becomes a little more patient he will do better.

Stewart has been successful in everything he has run.

Here is my top five Overrated Drivers:
1. Jamie McMurray-Never has won since 2002 in Sterling Marlin's car and has been in Ganassi Dodges and Roush Fords
2. Joe Nemechek-Front row Joe is not that great at winning races and even though Bobby Ginn is investing a lot of money in his program, Nemechek is not producing
3. Scott Riggs- Yes, Evernham equipment sucks. However, this guy has always been the third man behind in Evernham Motorsports over a couple of years.
4. Michael Waltrip- I think he is missing DEI equipment, which got him two Daytona 500 victories.
5. Stephen Wallace- I didn't know if we could pick Busch drivers, but this kid has been one of the most inconsistent drivers in the Busch Series.

myself i say the most overated driver is dale jr.he was living off his dads name. but now that he will be racing for the best car owner in the sport in 2008,hendricks motersports he will earn his keep in the sport.with, jeff gordon jimmie johnson, the next two popular drivers on the same team watch out NASCAR youll have a team almost nobody will be able to beat in the coming years.

being a jr fan i would have to say to this point he is overrated
he is a middle of the pack driver but you can thank his name and sponsors for the ratings and popularity he does get. I will always be a jr fan and hoping him leavig dei and going somewhere that can put him up there as an underrated driver like gordon or kenseth so maybe rcr can get him there in a number 30 or 33 budwieser sponsorship car as far as the lady saying fu go get some teeth

I gotta tell you, there are some real idiots who post here. Answer the questions as a true race fan, not based upon your current favorite driver. To say that past champions are over rated (Busch, Gordon, Wallace) is absolutely ridiculous.

As much as I hate to say it, I'd have to say that Jr. is the most over rated driver. I know that he has a huge and rabid fan base, but he didn't attract his fans with his driving ability.

Dale Jr. He hasn't lived up to the billing of, as most Jr fans say, the greatest driver today. 17 career wins just doesn't cut it Jr fans.

Nothing against him but I would have to say Earnhardt,Jr.I mean it's not his fault. He is a descent driver though I'm not saying he is awful or anything. Those who say Gordon and Kurt Busch are overated are being rediculous. If anything they are underated.

i think of they're throughout-rated! formulation a million open wheel indy automobiles run in rain. Nascar, if a flock of birds flew over and crapped on the trasck, they had throw a yellow flag for debris. Bunch of prima donnas.
