not one not two, but several
not happy common day things, horrible inevitable events
not things one would wish for, but would dread ie death of family member...illnesses...911... some times pleasant ones too... all implausible...all unstoppable...always inevitable

I am especially interested in the religious take on this. I am aware of the scientific angle.

I 'd like to know WHY WHY WHY. what does it mean?

If you want the religious view of dreams, I would suggest reading Daniel from the bible, especially the part with nebbechadneezer's dreams and daniels interpretation of them. When I was Christian I thought sometimes everyone gets a little insight into the future through dreams once in a while. I never thought of it as connected to religion for the most part though, what the bible says about dreams is a little different then what you're talking about th dreams it describes are either an angel (or God) telling someone what will happen, or they are very symbolic, it's never just a case of someone "seeing" the future.

In the religious point of view i think of it as a form of God telling you or somehow preparing you for that particular event. You can meditate on them or try to somehow prevent them from happening. If you have pleasant ones try to get to them those are the ones that. The ones you mention that everyone dreads are the ones that make you reflect and makes you take more into consideration of what you have in front of you and those who surround you.

This is what it means when you have a dream that comes true... are you ready...?

You had a dream that came true. That's it. No mystery. Sorry to sound sarcastic or cynical, but truthfully there are some things that just can't be explained. Experience these things for what they are and don't try to figure them out. Different people will tell you different things but nobody has the answer. Just understand that it happens to you sometimes and deal with it.

Why do these things happen?

I can give you a general answer. The specifics differ for everyone and it's each person's lot to figure out the exact 'why' in their lives.

God gave us life because He loves us. He wants us to enjoy our time here on earth. It's no accident that those who put God first in life are typically happier than those who do not.

It's not that God wills bad things upon people, though He will allow them. He allows them because such things as tragic illness, deaths of loved ones, disasters, etc, all serve to remind us just how much we really need to put God first in our lives.

God does not will bad things to happen, but He allows them because they actually help people by forcing them to come to grips with their frailty. In this humility, they find God.

People turn to God, not necessarily because He promised to shield His believers from further suffering. As you said, some of lives most painful experiences are "unstoppable. . . inevitabe".

Most people don't pray as often as they should. I am no exception. Ever notice how people tend to pray more when they're in some sort of trouble? This sort of prayer is better than no prayer at all I suppose, but God deserves more from us than the "friend who only hears from us when we're in trouble" treatment.

With God's help, we can weather these unfortunate events in life, and still rejoice in God.

That's the 'why' of it all.

It's up to each of us to discern exactly how every unforntunate event in our lives is supposed to bring us closer to God.

Take stock of the hardships in your life. Offer up any suffering to God. Meditate on how any given hardship in your life could possibly lead you closer to God.

lots of God's prophets suffered comparable matters, no longer awareness why that they had visions. you should shop praying for God to bare the objective of this present, and perhaps learn the way that's utilized to convey glory to God. little doubt there's a objective, which on the final time would be printed to you, so pray and have faith that God will show while the time is right. playstation - in case you notice Jesus returing be optimistic to enable us to all understand!! LOL.

Its nice when it happens but there is no religious or any other significance to it. You may experience times when you have such dreams and they don't come to fruition. Enjoy it while you can.
