I just got back from the yard after finding some night crawlers. I bought 2 dozen but I thought a few more couldn't hurt. I hope to go out today and fish because it is free fishing weekend. Which mean some states allow you to fish today without a license for some fresh water fish. My new Okuma fishing pole came in the mail today so it needs a trial run.

I get to fish every week, sense I have retired :)
But this time of year most of it is done at night.
After Memorial Day weekend I do not fish during the weekends, but I do understand that not everyone has that luxury.
Remember some where on a body of water, fish are hungry and eating. The problem is finding that location.
All Lures work !! Its more a matter of presentation.
Good Luck, Have fun, and be safe.

I wont be able to go fishing for the next 2 weeks, i think im going to start my withdrawls. I will be training to become a manager at my job so i have very little time. But i did find time to buy a few (quite a few actually) lures and i also bought an x-rap. I bought a bunch of booyah spinnerbaits, a few rooster tails, some powergrubs, a few crankbaits, a few pop-rs, and a bunch of other stuff. Let us know how your vacation went!
have fun,
jon

Everyone said it couldn't be done. Lo and behold, they were wrong. On Thursday, I nabbed a 21" summer flounder, aka fluke, in the back bays. Surprising since the NYS regulation is 19.5" minimum keeper size, that's about three pounds. In 1996, the minimum keeper size was 14" how times have changed.

I went fishing today and caught a beautiful 14 inch cutthroat (dinner). I also managed to hook 2 herring on a piece of shrimp.
