They'll probably say no because the devil is putting backwards thoughts in all the other sects, trying to divide Christians.

We, as believers, must believe the same on the essentials of the faith, but beyond that there is great latitude in how a Christian should worship, serve, and live his life. This latitude is what causes so many different flavors of Christianity. Diversity is a good thing, but disunity is not. If two churches disagree doctrinally, it is fine that they remain separate. This separation, though, does not lift the responsibility Christians have to love one another (1 John 4:11-12) – and ultimately be united as one in Christ (John 17:21-22).

If Christianity claimed to be a body of knowledge, then the fact that there are so many differences among Christians would be a strong argument against it. But it's a faith, which is not the same as a body of knowledge. There have always been a variety of different ways to tell the stories of Christianity -- the early church chose to include four Gospels in the Bible on purpose. The differences in belief among different Christian groups is not nearly as great a shame upon us as the fact that we revile one another on account of those differences.

There was one indeed true "faith" then someone didn't agree with umm lets say.......... the Holy Trinity ........... they had a few others who felt the same way............... so they called themselves for example sake..........Catholics.................then someone didn't agree with the Catholics........ umm lets say another part like the priests and ceremonies and such ............ some others felt the same way and they left the Catholic church to be umm.......... Protestant.

And so on and so on............ poor examples but you get the idea.

There are so many people in todays world one person starts a new "religion" every week.

That is why I am pro nondenominational. These other religions are usually denominations of other religions and unfortunately for unbelievers it has clouded the real issue.

God loves you so much he sent his only son to die. To die for you and I that we may have the chance to go to heaven. There was no other way. So in flesh form he made the absolute sacrifice and Jesus was crucified that you may live in eternity. Ask the holy spirit to come in your heart and except Jesus as your Lord and Savior and give him the respect he deserves for saving your life from eternal damnation.

God Bless

Yes, it means that the Church fell away from the truth, just like the Bible said would happen. The priesthood was taken from the earth and the "famine of the words of the Lord" occurred. Without a prophet or apostles to guide the church, teachings and scriptures were distorted. The philosophies of men intertwined with scripture, and things got confusing. THere was also a prophecy that there would be a restitution of all things that must happen before the second coming of Jesus Christ. Luckily, that has occured and the true church is building the Kingdom of the Lord again on the earth in preparation for His return.

over the years, corruption, greed, and fear mixed with week faith and pressures from the world combined and watered down, tainted and ruined alot of peoples faiths/church standards. unfortunately, most people today, even those claiming to be Christians, don't actually follow the teachings of Christ. no don't get me wrong, there are some people who do, and the ones that don't arn't "bad people." no ones perfect or anything, it's simply that some people have a clearer view of what being a true 'Jesus freak' means. so we get conflicting views and belief. people interpret the bible in different way, contributing to the lack of consistency. hope that answers your question!

Yeah, it means we're all at different degrees of learning and that we are following the words of the Bible that say,
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim. 2:15

But don't forget this one..
And further by these my son, be admonished: Of making many books, there is no end and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Eccles. 12:12-13

Very intelligent conclusion. That is because king Constantine changed the original Bible. He had them burned in 32 AD with his click of scribes put together to control the citizens what we call the bible today. He omitted everything to do with Karma, reincarnation, vegetarianism, and he made hell eternal and added Paul's teachings who never even met Jesus. Jesuses name was actually Yesuah but even that became changed in translation. For the original New Testament before Constantine changed it google gospelofthenazirenes.com The Essenes where the original followers of Yesuah (Jesus) and they had to go into hiding being they where being killed by the roman government they hid a copy of the Gospel of the Nazirenes. and it is now available in English Translated by followers of the Essene Teachings. ( They where an ancient sect of Judaism that Jesus followed.

For 1,500 years all believed the same and then came Martin Luther and 30,000 denominations later is what we now have. And every day those 30,000 denominations split even more because someone tries to interpret the bible a different way, to fit their agendas causing more and more confusion and separation.
