Because I can't afford to pay anymore than I do for the 10 mg tablets so if it doesn't work I'm screwed.

Lexapro Gad

It may work fine for you but it was totally not enough for me. I'm up to 30mg of Lexapro (mostly for depression) and that's still not enough on it's own to take care of my anxiety and panic attacks. I need to be on Klonopin (1.5mg) to keep the anxiety levels down. I also take Abilify which supposedly should help with the anxiety too. So far, Abilify only helps with mood swings and "psychotic thinking". I don't recommend Abilify since it costs over $13 per pill (there's no generic form yet)

My insurance covers everything so I can afford to try different things.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder Initial Treatment
The recommended starting dose of LEXAPRO is 10 mg once daily. If the dose is increased to 20 mg, this should occur after a minimum of one week.

LEXAPRO should be administered once daily, in the morning or evening, with or without food.

TAKE PROZAC INSTEAD. It costs $8 at Walmart.

It's an SSRI just like Lexapro. I used lexapro for a long time, but then switched to prozac to try and get rid of the sexual side-effects (didn't work, btw). BUT prozac was just as effective at eliminating my anxiety.
