Well I know the placebo effect can't happen cause I have a hard time believing a pill so small can do anything. I look at it and I want to laugh.

Think of it this way: two drops of milk will have no effect on the average human being. Two drops of the venom of the black mamba (a poisonous snake), however, will kill you.

The effect of a given substance (e.g., lexapro) has to little to do with the physical size of the substance (as the molecular weights of different substance vary greatly), and much to do with the actual chemicals contained within it.

Best of luck to you in your treatment,
~M~

p.s. Interestingly, lexapro (the single isomer version of its "cousin", celexa) is significantly more concentrated (and reaches therapeutic levels in your bloodstream more quickly) than its predecessor (i.e., celexa).

I don't know what dosage you are on but the 20mg pills are twice the size as the 10mg pills. They look like they 'work' to me!! I know what you mean though...
