I think that the idea of 2012 being the end of the world simply means that it's the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine).

That may not be a bad thing.

It has been argued that the year 2012 will be the rigger of a renasience--which happens every 60 years (the last was the psychadelic 60's, btw). Much like the 60's, there will probably still be a quagmire of a war going on. This may all give rise to a better world.

Then again, the world may very well end in 2012, especially if ole Dubya has much to do with it. He's following the declaration of war against the entire muslim war with a re-ignition of the Cold War with Russia. Personally, I think that Putin--and Guliani--are both more than capable of pushing the button.

Continue on with the world that is still here. Just like 2000, 1000, 1900 etc etc etc, the soothsayers will be howling the end is nigh and once again that leaf in time will turn and life will continue without any big incidents.

For other people's information, it is not just the aztec prediction but also nostradamus's prophecy. Also, St. Malachi predicts that the next pope after benedict will be the one that starts the end of the world.

According to God, you know, the creator of the Universe, including you, we are not to set dates for the end of humanity on this earth as we know it, so this 2012 means absolutely nothing. Read God's Word and know Truth. God bless

If I still exist and no longer require physical things and no longer need to work, I will probably think, learn, create, and play games. Whether or not we can communicate with one another after this event is also significant.

That being so, everybody send me all your money by the end of 2011. I don't want you going to the hereafter soiled with filthy lucre.

Well, for one thing, I will forgo further eschatological queries...

I, myself, would like to see the world come to an end on
October 10, 10101...(101010101):

--- A fitting end for our binary-encoded existence...
