Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

This is a really beautiful poem too!

The things you taught me I will always know.
How could I not? The roots have sunk so deep:
All lessons of the heart that I will keep
No matter who I am or where I go.
Kids learn from what their parents are, and so
You are my book of life, the thoughts I reap;
From you I learned the rules of right and wrong
Against which I at times had to rebel,
Though with regret I carry with me still.
How lucky I am to have been loved so well,
Even as I pushed against your will,
Relying on a father fair and strong.

sometimes for father day you dont have to empty out the wallet if he already has everything he needs you should do something from the heart instead :)

make him breakfast of lunch or dinner or wenever ur around him,,,that means alot right there!!!

then get him a cute fathers day card and on the blank side right your own feelings, right from the heart which makes the card really special,,and put a giftcard in it for a grocery store or a restaurant or to a place he enjoys

then if youd like you can get him a gift which i have a few down below maybe you can find on ethat he mite like

depending on his personality;

-cologne (axe,BOD,etc.) whatever you liket he small of or what he gets alot, fairly inexpansive (also:you can get an axe variety pack at the dollar store for around 8.00!!))
-clothes from a store he likes
- sports stuff, like football/baseball, etc. depending on what he likes
-a CD with songs from his favorite band
-scrapbook of you And him and great times you had together
-DVDS
-subscription to a certain magazine (auto, computer, etc)
-plants if he likes garden stuff
-if he likes the outdoors, go on a hike somewhere ((this may be expensive depending on where you live at))and bring a few people
-art kit if he likes art stuff
-hunting things if he likes to do that
-movies
-autoshop tools
-chocolate simple and sweet
-if you would like to spend a little extra money:
-two tickets to a sporting event to a team he likes or band in concert
-cell phone
-hiking boots if he likes the outdoors
-a hiking backpack with a water bottle if he likes the outdoors
- an MP3 player, you can get it on sale for 30.00-40.00
-try getting him a nice gift but before you give it to him, give him a 'gag' gift, if he has a good sense of humor, like have a bag with a pen from a bank or something and tea in it lol, then after he's opened it and all give him the real gift, **Be aware only do this if he has a good sense of humor***

**if you need any more advice message me=D
-good luck =D

Does your father have a grill?? If he doesn't, get him one, and make him a steak dinner. If he has one, still buy all the supplies, invite the whole family, and make dinner for him. Take pictures of everyone with him, candid shots. Take them to the one hour photo, put them in an alblum. Not only have you created a wonderful day for dad, but he has memories that he can look back on. My father passed away 9 years ago, and I can not tell you how many times I wish I had taken more pictures of him.

Pez... I was plagued by this for years myself -and there is an easy answer. Follow along:

What your daddy really wants is what ALL of us want. To be loved, to be happy. So you tell him , you march right up to him and tell him, that you are happy and feel blessed to be his daughter. Right to his face. His deepest wish is for your happiness and success -it really, really is. Not just for you, but for him -so he has some reassurance he's doing OK. Tell him, even that you went on Yahoo looking for help, and that another daddy answered you and told you to do this.

OK, but you still need a "thing," right? Of course right! Give him something to eat that you made. Bake him a cake, make fudge, his favorite salad or whatever. Does he play golf? Then make a meat loaf and put golf balls inside it! Wacky stuff, funny stuff! Whatver it is, make it something he'll use up, and everyone uses up food. What else does he use up? Look around -you'll see.

Here's a story. My stepmother, whom I dearly love, is a wealthy heiress who really doesn't need anything. What did I give her for Christmas? I took seeds from a plant in my own garden, put them in a medicine bottle and attached "dosing instructions" on how to plant them. I made some scratch English muffins, packed the whole thing up and sent it off to her. I have also written her poetry.

You do the same kind of thing.

Now -get crackin'!

And let me know how it all comes out.

My Dad is the same way. He's got most everything he needs but I know this for a fact. If you spent some quality time with him doing something he enjoys, it would make him happy.

Give him a big hug and tell him thank you for everything he's done for you. If he's like me, I don't need anything and if I want it I'll buy it. I'd rather have time with my kids than anything else.
