There are too many factors involved to accurately interpret this. Your mom has to explore her thoughts. Also details of the dream have to be analyzed such as how you looked, dressed, what you were doing, what she was feeling, how the death was manifest...etc...etc.

Simply it can mean some of the following:

1. She saw you have grown and changed and are no longer the you she knew as a baby and this dream marked that realization.

2. She may think you dont include her in your life as much as you used to and they dream is symbolic that you have been removed from her on some level in some way. It can also be initiated if you moved, talked about moving, planned to get married. All these things can lead to a parent having a symbolic dream that the baby they knew is now grown...and the emotional loss can be symbolized by a death scene.

3. She may have on the back of her mind that she was worried about you and the dream exaggerated this fear or worry.

4. She may have been angry with you in an argument and was so angry that the dream became an abstract expression of that emotion, symbolizing, again, a severing between the two of you.

It can be many things. It doesnt matter in the long run as dreams are really wacky, abstract expressions from the psyche's many mysterious levels.

Your mom would have to go for dream analysis and free association to find out what the dream represents. She will know when that light bulb goes off.

Again, you cant put too much stock into a dream being something that we can really understand.

Which fast-food was it? Just kidding. Call her. Everything is going to be fine. Let me tell you of my dream. It is probably even more scarier because in that dream that I had a couple of months back, I died. Yes, I was the one dead. And I was crying. I "appeared" before my mother and I was crying while crouched in front of her. But that, I believe, wasn't the reason why I was crying (heavily). I think it was because I wasn't able to do something I really, really wanted to do (or say) when I was still alive. And I couldn't do it anymore because, well, I am already dead. Whew! Reach for that phone right now.

Death does not always have a bad connotation. In the Tarot deck, it means a new life is beginning. Perhaps your mother sees you as going through a big change in your life.

A little more context would be helpful, though. Was there more to the dream than that? Are you and your mother having some sort of conflict? It may be that she feels you have betrayed the relationship in some way and therefore are dead to her.

Maybe it's wishful thinking. Now that was mean but you might be able to see her dream differently. My family had dreams of death which meant one of the sisters was pregnant, there were seven sisters. Now I don't mean your pregnant but look at what death really mean.
