I know you have to be an idiot to get name tattoos (with a few exceptions, maybe), but what do you think of group/general names? There's a large group of people who have been my best friends for years and we have a group name. These people have saved my life. Is it still a bad idea?

No. I think it is a great idea. If it is for the right reason, then you should go for it.

I feel that tattoos tell a story, have history, are personal expression, art, creativity and style. Who cares what others think or judge. These days people judge on style of clothing and hair style. Express yourself. Do what is you and only you.
You could even have the group name in Chinese writing and/or a symbol. No one will know but you and others that you tell or know the language, if you are concerned.

I don't think so. It's more of a representation of your friends.
Name tattoos are considered bad because it's usually a guy getting his girlfriends name (or vice versa) and it pretty much guarantees a break up.
But yeah, i think if you want to get your groups name tattooed, go for it.

nope... all tattoos have some sort of meaning... and if this group has had some sort of influence in ur life.. then it is all the more reason to have the tattoo put on u.... it will be a reminder of what has happened in ur life... and everytime that u look at that name..... u will remember what those specific people have done for u in ur life.... good ideaâ¥

i think if its in honor of someone who passed than do it otherwise wait 6 months and if you still want to go for it

Once again, that should be entirely up to you.............in your case, though, not everyone will be able to see it.
If it means that much to you and all of your friends, then do it.
It's very good to have friends that mean that much to you.

what if they do some thing mean to you, and you stop talking to them, well then i guess that sux cause their name is permenatly on you.
